Amaro Black

I knew Aliyah was going to be pissed at me for not telling her what the whole blood thing was about, but she already had enough on her plate; she didn't need to find out that I was a werewolf and so was she. I heard her wolf growl at me when she demanded I explain, I wondered if she heard it too.

"You really don't have an option but to accept it at this point Ali," I told her. I know it was harsh, but I didn't want to argue with her; I just wanted her to get better.

I held my arm out to Mr. Staton as he prepared it to take my blood while I waited for Ali to respond; I turned quickly when I heard my father gasp. I followed his gaze back to the bed to find Ali's body shaking uncontrollably on the bed. Shit, is she having a seizer? We all rushed over and tried to hold her body down. Within seconds of touching her, my father and I backed away; we could feel the magic radiating off of her, she was about to phase. Mr. Staton was still trying to hold her down when my father pulled him away; he struggled until my father explained what was happening. Crap, she wasn't ready for this; if she changes now it could kill her, she might not be strong enough.

Growing up knowing you are a werewolf you are prepared for this moment your whole life. The more you just accept the change the easier it is to complete, but if you tried to fight it then it was a very long painful process. Once you had changed for the first few times it just became second nature to you and it didn't hurt at all and was over in seconds. Ali had never been told any of this, she needed to just let the change happen or it would rip her body apart and she would die.

"Don't fight it Ali, just let it happen," I shouted to her over and over again not knowing if she could hear me or not.

We all watched helplessly as her body slowly made the change; I can only image how painful it had to be for her, the whole process took almost five minutes. The sound of her bones cracking and her skin ripping apart had me wishing I could take her place; I would do anything to be able to take that pain away from her.

When it was finally finished she stood on all four looking over the end of the bed at us. She looked confused like she wasn't sure what just happened, I watched as she took us all in. She was the most amazing wolf I had ever seen. Her coat was bright white without a single hair of a different color, her bright emerald eyes stood out against the white fur. She looked at us all once more then she just took off out of the room.

I instantly took off after her waiting until I was outside to phase into wolf form. I raced after her through the woods; I couldn't believe how fast she was for being a new wolf. I caught up to her when we were just a few feet into the forest and came from the side to tackle her to the ground.

Her wolf instantly fought me back; she snarled and nipped at my face while she tried to wiggle her body out from under mine. Wow she was strong too, but not as strong as me. I quickly dodged her sharp teeth as she tried to snap at my face again then grabbed her neck between my jaws and pinned her to the ground. She tried to wiggle more but the more she moved the more my teeth dug into her skin and she finally settled down and let out a whine of defeat.

"Ali you need to control your wolf," I growled at her through mind link.

"Amaro, please help me there is a wolf attacking me," she screamed back at me. I couldn't help but laugh. "What the fuck are you laughing at? I'm serious he's going to kill me. I'm out in the woods, please help me," she said. I could tell that she was angry, but also on the verge of tears.

"Ali, that wolf is not going to kill you," I said releasing my grip on her neck and taking a few steps back.

"How do you know?" She said her voice shaky as her wolf slowly got back to her feet keeping her head low.
