I raced out of the house and straight to the woods; I phased into wolf form and mind linked Tadeo to go see Ali. I needed to get to my house and tell my father and Mr. Staton what happened with Ali. I was still in shock that I was able to mind link with her; that's something that can only be done between wolves in your pack. I mean I guess she is part wolf and her mother was part of the pack but she had never changed into a wolf, and as far as I know she wasn't in touch with her wolf at all.
It only took me about five minutes to get to my house in wolf form compared to the fifteen it would take driving. It was all heavily wooded so I didn't have to worry about being seen. I saw my house coming into view and picked up my pace; I was anxious to tell them what happened. I phased back to human form right before I reached the front door and rushed in. I found my father and Richard in my dad's office with piles of paper work in front of them; they both jumped a little at my arrival.
"Amaro what's going on?" My father asked with a concerned voice. I'm sure it was because I was still out of breath standing in the doorway with my hands on my knees.
"I was able to talk to Ali," I said still catching my breath as I sat down on a chair in the office.
"What?" My father and Richard spoke at the same time.
"She's awake?" Richard asked before I was able to speak again.
"Well not exactly awake, but kind of," I started, it was hard to describe. "She said that she can hear everything and is starting to feel some things, but she can't talk or move," I continued looking up at both of them.
"Well that's a good sign," my father said relaxing a little in his chair; Richard stared at me with a confused expression before speaking.
"If she can't talk then how did she tell you this?" Richard asked.
"Well that's the other thing I wanted to talk about. She talked to me through mind link. I was just saying goodbye, then I heard her voice call out for me not to leave. I turned around but she was still lying there not moving. I called out to her and she replied without her lips moving, that's when I knew it was through mind link. How is that possible?" I asked looking over at my dad.
"Well she is part wolf so I guess she would have the ability if she found a way to focus on it, but I think it might have something to do with you giving her your blood." My father said looking down at his paper work.
I watched as my father and Richard exchanged glances between each other before looking back down at the papers on the desk. I could tell that there was something that they wanted to tell me, but they weren't sure if it was time yet. It felt like twenty minutes had passed with no one saying anything; although I'm sure it was only a few minutes.
"We have been looking into a few things and we think that Ali's body might be going through... well... a few transformations right now." My father said shuffling through the papers.
"Meaning?" I asked. What the hell is he talking about?
"Meaning that your blood in her system may have... umm how do I say this... awaken her wolf," he finished.
"So she's turning into a werewolf?" I asked shocked.
They both nodded their heads and their eyes fell to the floor. Oh no, this wasn't good; Ali was not going to handle this well. The girl had just found out that werewolves and vampires existed a few weeks ago and now when she wakes up we have to tell her that she is one of them. Holy shit this was going to be bad.
"That's not all Amaro," my father said breaking me out of my thoughts; I looked up to see the concerned look on his face.
"There's more?" I asked amazed.
"You giving her your blood opened up a... bond... between you," he said.
"What do you mean bond?" I asked.
"The only way I can describe it is... well... it's like a mating bond, the bond you would have when you mark your mate. Basically you giving her blood marked her as yours so no other werewolf will want her, plus your blood in her body will make her feel attached to you. She will want to be with you all the time; just like she would if she was your mate," my father said glancing over at Richard.
Richard just sat in the chair with his head in his hands; I couldn't imagine the emotions that he was going through right not. He had been the one that asked me for my blood, so he had bonded me to his daughter for life. I didn't even know how I felt about the whole thing; sure I liked Ali, but was I ready for her to be my mate? I needed time to think about all this; and here was not the time or place.
"Umm, I need to go think about some things," I said as I got up and made my way to the door.
They didn't respond as I left and as soon as I was around the corner I started running. I ran though the house, out the front door, phased into wolf form, and took off into the woods. I didn't know where I was even running; I just let my wolf take over and enjoyed the ride. A few minutes later we appeared on Ali's front porch, and I phased into human form; why did my wolf bring me here?
"Mate !" My wolf responded immediately.
Oh yeah how could I forget that whole bonding conversation that I just had with my father. Wow if I thought explaining to Ali that she was a werewolf was going to be hard, how the hell was I going to explain that we were bonded? I opened the door and made my way to the guest bedroom where Ali had been staying. I could hear Tadeo reading her a story when I opened the door. He looked up and smiled before placing a kiss on her cheek and whispering he had to go and bounced out of the room.
