Amaro Black

We were doing our normal after school patrol around the Staton house when we heard her car pull up in the driveway. We ran closer to the wood line and I watched as she franticly tried to pick up the papers that were scattered over the yard. A few papers came blowing into the forest a few yards in front of us and she went running after them.

"What are you going to do if she goes into the woods?" Asked Koda through our mind link.

"Maybe we should teach her a lesson." Harlin added; I could feel both of their wolves jumping at the chance to scare the girl. Honestly mine was too; besides she needed to know that she can't just break the rules.

The moment I started to say ok they bolted off in her direction. When I got closer I could smell the blood in the air. Harlin and Koda were standing a few feet away from her snapping and snarling and she had her hand pressed against her head. I phased into human form behind her before grabbing her arm to help her up. The same fire and ice feeling as I had the first time I touched her rushed through my hand. Why did she seem to have this effect on me? She screamed the moment I touched her and her head whipped around to look at me. She glanced back at Harlin and Koda now sitting quietly by a tree as I helped her to her feet; then her eyes locked with mine again. I found myself wanting to get lost in those big emerald green eyes; but I had to focus, I was here to teach her a lesson.

"What the hell are you doing out here Aliyah? We told you to never come into the woods. Why did you disobey that order?" I shouted at her; I kept my eyes cold and hard holding onto hers. I wanted to make sure that she got the point.

"Let go of me asshole!" She shouted back as she tried to pull her arm from my grip with no success. My hand started burning with anger as she tried to pull away. "I dropped my homework and it blew into the woods, what the hell was I suppose to do? Do you think my teacher would accept a 'my homework blew in the woods and I wasn't allowed to go get it' excuse?" I could tell she was getting more and more angry the longer she stayed there. "Now let go of me!" She yanked her arm hard finally pulling it from my grip and started to stomp off.

"Stop!" I shouted. She ignored my request and kept walking. That really pissed me off. Who did this girl think that she was to ignore me like that? "I said stop!" I shouted louder this time; using more of an Alpha tone in my voice. I watched her body sway slightly as it appeared her feet came to an involuntary stop. A grin threatened at the corner of my mouth. 'There must be some wolf in there somewhere for her to respond to me like that,' I thought to myself.

"What?" She shouted back, turning to face me. "What the hell do you want Amaro?"

"Let me see your head." I said; calmer now as I approached her and reached to remove her hand from her head. It looked like the gash was bad, she might need stitches.

"Don't fucking touch me asshole! It's none of your business, I can take care of it myself." She said as she pulled away from me before I could grab her hand. I was instantly angry at her for pulling away from me like that. She was lucky that she didn't know she was a wolf or I would have put her in her place!

"Do not come in these woods ever again. Do you understand?" I said looking her straight in the eyes.

"What, do I look fucking stupid to you? I get the freaking point!" She said not looking away from me until she was finished; she turned on my heels and made her way back out of the woods.

My body was shaking with anger. There was no way I would ever let one of my pack speak to me like that. She was the most disrespectful human being I have ever met in my life. My wolf was going crazy inside of my pushing me to let it out. It wanted to go punish her for lashing out the way she did; it wanted her to submit to him. I scowled my wolf as I phased and took off in a full sprint back home. I slammed the front door behind me when I entered the house. My father instantly called my name from the living room. Agh I wasn't in the mood to explain my foul mood to him right now. I dragged me feet into the living room and sat down on the couch.

"Would you mind telling me what that front door did to you?" My father asked; obviously he was more upset about what damage I might have caused to the door then why I did it.

"The front door did nothing to me; it's that little girl that you have me babysitting that's the problem," I said back, trying to keep calm. There was no use getting upset with my father, he would just order me to calm down and I wouldn't have a choice but to obey.

"Was there a problem?" I could hear the curiosity in his voice now.

"Two problems actually; first, is that she went into the woods like we told her not to do, second, is that when I approached her about it she gave me attitude." I didn't need to include that she had a pretty good reason to go into the woods; I was pissed and I wanted her to get in trouble for it.

"Did she have a reason to go into the woods?" He asked. Damn him, I should have known he would ask that.

"She dropped some papers and was going to pick them up, but the point is she still disobeyed the rules." I wanted to be clear that she was still in the wrong.

"My guess is that she was right at the wood line and you thought that it would be a good time to teach her a lesson. She caught you by surprise when she didn't just accept you yelling at her and that made you angry." He paused for a moment giving me a sideways look to show he knows he right. I was just getting more pissed off that he was taking her side. "I'm not surprised that she has an attitude, I am sure that she gets it from her mother. Luna was a very free spirited wolf, but she was also strong and a leader. If Ali is anything like her mother then she will be a hard wolf to tame son." He gave me a quick warning glance to keep my temper in check.

"Whatever, I just can't wait for her to find out about everything so we don't have to hide and she can learn to take care of herself." I said standing from the couch. I needed to get some rest to take my mind off of all of this. I gave my father a pat on his shoulder and headed off to my room.
