Shit, I had pushed it too far; I had never seen Amaro's wolf that close to the surface before. His canine teeth even began to extend when he stood up from the couch just feet away from where I was sitting; I couldn't help but sink down a little in my seat.

"I don't know what the fuck you are talking about Ali but don't ever try to threaten my position again or..." He stopped mid sentence; I don't even want to know how he would have finished it.

"Amaro I..." I started only to be quickly cut off by Amaro.

"I have to go," he said and I quickly turned and headed out the door.

I wanted to run after him and tell him that I was sorry; I should have never even said anything about the Luna thing. Stupid, stupid girl, I thought to myself as I tried to focus on the burning logs in the fireplace. I wanted to be mad at Amaro for being such a jerk but I ended up just mad at myself for making him angry; I guess I really don't understand how important this Alpha thing is to him.

I didn't grow up in a wolf pack, so can he really blame me? I found myself wishing that I could just rewind my life a month and go back to being normal; back to knowing nothing of the supernatural world. I couldn't do that though, there was nothing I could do about being a werewolf; nothing could change that now.

Then I had to go and screw up my relationship with my only friend that can know my secret; how could I be so stupid? That's it I can't just sit around here and feel sorry for myself; the only way I can make this better is to talk to Amaro. I jumped out of the chair and ran to the woods; phasing into wolf form once I was past the first few trees. I got a few feet into the forest before I stopped. Crap, I don't know where I'm going; I was so focused on enjoying my wolf that I never paid any attention to what Amaro was showing me.

"Hmm, if I were a dog what would I do?" I thought to myself.

"You are a dog." To my surprise someone answered me back.

"Tadeo?" I asked recognizing his voice.

"Hey Ali, what are you doing in wolf form? Is Amaro with you? I don't feel him around," Tadeo replied curiously.

"No I made him mad and I'm trying to go talk to him but I can't find my way to his house. Would you maybe want to come help me?" I pleaded with him.

"Ali if he's mad you should probably just stay away and give him time to cool off. Let him come to you, trust me I learned my lesson, a few times," he relied back sheepishly.

"Tadeo please, I really need to talk to him," I begged adding in a little whimper at the end. I wasn't sure if he could hear it through mind link or not, but it added a good effect either way.

"Fine but if you get in trouble I had nothing to do with this," He said and I heard the sound of paws hitting the ground coming towards me.

When Tadeo was just a few feet away he cocked his head to the side to motion for me to follow him before taking off in the direction he came from. I quickly caught up to him and followed with ease to Amaro's house. I phased back to human form and rang the doorbell. As I waited for an answer I noticed my dad's car parked in the driveway; great now I have to deal with him too. I heard the footsteps approach the door before it opened.

"Ali! What can I do for you?" Anaru asked when he answered the door.

"Umm is Amaro home? I need to talk to him," I said looking at the ground. I was sure that Amaro had talked to his father and he was well aware of the situation going on.

"Sure I will show you to his room," he said motioning for me to come in and follow him.

I took in the large entryway before he led me to a hallway on the left side of the house. There were a few pictures hung on the walls; mostly of Amaro and his family.

"I do ask that you try to reframe from breaking any furniture, I must say I am quite fond of my things," Anaru said turning around to give me a knowing smile; my dad must have told him about the kitchen chair incident.

"I will do my best sir," I said before he stopped in front of a door.

"Good day Ali," he said before returning back down the hallway and disappearing into the entry way.

I took a deep breath before knocking on Amaro's door, I knew if he was paying any attention he would already know I was out there; I learned that from lesson number one at my house today. I raised my hand and nervously knocked lightly on the door.

"Come in Ali," Amaro said sounding reluctant to invite me in.

I walked in the room and closed the door behind me; I turned around to find Amaro lying on his bed staring at the ceiling. I took a quick look around the room for any place to sit other than the bed but came up empty; I would just have to live with standing for now; didn't want to be too close if his wolf came out.

"Did you just come here to stare at me?" Amaro asked when I failed to say anything. Crap, I didn't even notice that I was staring at him; I quickly moved my eyes to the ground. Well, I might as well just get it over with.

"Look I shouldn't have said what I said today, I didn't mean anything by it; I was just so angry and I hate it when you use the fact that you are above me in rank against me. I don't want to be an Alpha or a Luna; I wouldn't know the first thing about running a pack. All I want is to just learn how to control this wolf and try to go back to a normal life." I finally looked up to meet his eyes when I finished with my confession. His eyes looked dark and full of emotion; I just couldn't tell what emotion it was.

"You can't just go back to your normal life, you don't have a normal life anymore; you're a werewolf. I don't care if you like that fact that you are one or not, it doesn't change the fact that you are, and will always be, a werewolf. Every pack has to have an Alpha to keep everyone in line, so if you think for one minute that I will not treat you as someone lower in the pack then you have another thing coming. You do not deserve respect from me until you show me respect yourself, that shit you pulled today was completely out of line. If you weren't my mate I would have killed you on the spot for threatening my position," he growled back at me; not the response at all I was expecting.

"I'm sorry Amaro." I pleaded with him as the tears started to roll down my face.

I know I should have been angry at him for the way he was treating me right now but for some reason all I wanted was his forgiveness. I wanted nothing more than for him to hold me in his arms and tell me that it's ok, that he forgives me; I didn't see that coming from the way the conversation was going.

"You should leave now Ali," he said standing up and opening the door for me.

I could see the wood starting to dent under his strong hold, his hands were shaky and he balled them into fists at his side. I held my head down as I silently walked through the door; afraid to look up and see the look on his face. Once I was through the doorway the door slammed violently behind me making me jump. I ran down the hallway, out the door, and into the woods before phasing. The tears soaked my fur as I ran through the forest, not knowing where I was going. I didn't care where I ended up, I just wanted to stay in wolf form and run forever; so that's what I did, I ran.
