I dragged my feet walking as slowly as my wolf would allow me to behind Amaro; not caring that the mud was staining my paws. I can't believe that he has the power to make me move like that. I was dead set on staying right where I was at; I felt good just relaxing out in the forest, it had been a long time since I was outside. Nope, Amaro just had to ruin that for me; he commanded that I follow him and my wolf just jumped right to it. Stupid wolf, why did you have to listen to him?

My wolf let out a low growl and Amaro turned around and growled back at me. Screw him, he thinks he's all high and mighty, he has no right to boss me around like this. I could feel my anger building inside of me, I don't know what a fucking Alpha is – my wolf kept repeating the word, every time I would think about Amaro - and I don't really care; I refuse to just fall in line with some stupid werewolf order, I never wanted to be a werewolf in the first place.

I did my best to push my wolf to the side and I focused all my energy on lunging my body at Amaros. I felt my claws dig into his back and my teeth just caught the skin on the back of his neck. He let out a loud growl before flinging my body off of his with ease. The force he used to get my body off his sent me flying into a tree; I heard it crack before breaking and falling to the forest floor behind me.

I let out a yelp of pain as it felt like ribs shattered from the impact and my body fell limp to the ground. Amaro slowly stalked over to me his head low to the ground showing his teeth; a low nasty growl escaped his throat. My survival instincts kicked in and my wolf jumped back to her feet; the pain in my side now just barley registering in my brain. I growled back at Amaro as we started side stepping and circling each other; both of us waiting for the other to make a move.

"What the fuck are you doing Ali?" Amaro growled at me through the mind link. "Submit to me now, or I will make you," he continued sounding even angrier now.

I felt my wolf shiver as the words came through and I found it hard to keep my knees from giving out beneath me; his voice had so much power in it, it was hard to not bow down to him. I had to stand my ground, I started this fight and I was going to end it.

"I will not submit to you, you are not above me," I snarled back leaping forward and snapping at his face; I missed and quickly retreated. Damn I should have got some training in with my wolf before I challenged him.

A fierce growl erupted from Amaros throat as he came full force at me; I didn't even have time to react before he had my body pinned to the ground. His teeth were pressed firmly against my windpipe; close to the point of crushing it. He was still growling and the vibrations on my throat were making it hard to breath. I couldn't hold out any more; I just wasn't strong enough to beat him.

My body fell limp under his and I let out a few whimpers of pain as his teeth still dug into my throat. Amaro released his grip, jumped off of me and started walking back through the woods. He stopped and turned to look at me before letting out a growl. I instantly jumped to my feet and followed behind him with my head down. Man, I had really messed up. What had gotten into me to make me attack his wolf like that? A few minutes later we arrived at the back of my house. Amaro stopped and turned around making me stop too, I still didn't have the courage to look up at him after that stunt I pulled in the woods.

"Don't move. I will send Tadeo out for you," Amaro demanded, it was clear in his voice that he was still really pissed at me.

I bowed my head to let him know that I understood and he started towards the house. I watched in amazement as his body changed from a wolf to a human in just seconds. How did he do that? It was so painful and felt like it took forever for me to change; he just did it in seconds. I was still trying to figure out how Amaro made the change so effortlessly when the little brown wolf walked around the corner.

"Ali!" Tadeos excited voice floated into my head. Wait, he's a wolf too! He's my little brown wolf!

"Tadeo!" I shouted back excitedly as I ran over to meet him and we rubbed heads together.

"Ali I'm so excited that you finally get to know the secret. It was so hard for me not to tell you. And you have a really pretty wolf," he said wagging his tail excitedly; I was still in shock that this was really him.

"I can't believe that you're a wolf, or that I'm a wolf for that matter," I said back laughing; he laughed back but then turned serious.

"Ali I have to get you to change back to a human. I know that you're scared, but if you do it right it really won't hurt as bad as you think," he informed me, placing his little paw on mine for support.

"I can't go through that again Tadeo, it was just too painful," I said ashamed that I didn't have the guts to change back.

"It was just so bad because you weren't expecting it and you didn't know what was happening. Now that you know what to expect if you just accept it and trust your wolf to make the change it will be easy for you." He encouraged, trying to convince me it was the right thing to do. How could I say no to him?

"Ok, tell me exactly what I have to do. Make sure you tell me everything, I don't want to miss out on anything; I want to be really prepared," I said back.

Tadeo took a good ten minutes to explain to me how to relax my body and let my wolf take over. He told me it was best to just give my body to my wolf and it would take control and allow the change to happen quickly. He also made sure to drill in the fact that I had to think clothes, or I would turn up naked when I was human again.

I closed my eyes and focused on letting my wolf take over; all the while thinking clothes, clothes, clothes, I was not about to turn up naked in front of an eight year old. I felt my bones begin to break and the hair begin to pull back into my body; I fought back my instincts to fight away the pain and just let my wolf do the work for me. To my surprise less than a minute later there I stood in human form, fully clothed.

I gave myself a mental pat on the back for succeeding my first time. They were right, it wasn't all that bad if you just let your wolf take over. It was actually more of an exhilarating kind of pain rather than an uncomfortable kind of pain. Tadeo phased back to human form a few seconds later.

"Hey that was great Ali! Amazing actually, for your first time," he said giving me a pat on the arm.

"Thanks. I had a good teacher," I said smiling down at him as he led me back to the house. When we walked in I found my father, Amaro, and Anaru sitting at the kitchen table; my father jumped up immediately when I walked in.

"Daddy!" I screamed running over and jumping into his arms, I had missed seeing his face for the last few days.

"Ali honey, I'm so glad you're alright!" He said letting me out of the hug and kissing my forehead.

"Me too dad! Someone has a lot of explaining to do though," I said looking around the room, waiting for someone to start talking; they all looked back at me with blank stares.

"Umm maybe we should move this conversation to the living room," my father suggested as he motioned with his hand in that direction.

"I have some things to do; I will catch up with you later." Amaro said as he walked out and shut the door behind him before anyone could respond. Man he must still be really pissed at me.

My father and Anaru sat with me in the living for a few hours explaining how I became a werewolf. They told me that my mother was a wolf and part of their pack so I was passed on that gene and when Amaro gave me his blood to heal me it activated the wolf in me. I was given rules to not tell anyone what I was and it was explained to me that Amaro was the Alpha so I had no other choice but to do as he asks.

I couldn't believe all the information that was put on my lap in the last few hours; never would I have thought when I woke up in my half coma this morning that I would be going to bed as a werewolf that night. I took a long shower to try to clear my head, not that it helped; then headed off to bed. The last thing I remember thinking about when I dosed off to sleep was Amaro, I should have apologized for attacking him; I would have to do that first thing in the morning.
