Amaro Black
I had to leave the house and be alone for a little bit, my wolf was going crazy inside of me. I can't believe that Ali had attacked me like that in the woods; if she wasn't my mate I would have ripped her to shreds; how dare she attack an Alpha? Now my wolf was on edge and I didn't know what I was going to do to calm him down. It took every ounce of energy I had to stop him from claiming Ali right there in the woods when she attacked us.
I know that Ali was new to being a wolf and all, but what she did in the woods was just stupid; if she would have did that to anyone else but me she would be dead right now. Why did I have to get stuck with a mate that didn't even know she was a wolf and when she finds out she is a wolf she goes nuts and attacks an Alpha?
I let my wolf free as soon as we were off the front porch and we took off into the woods. I let my wolf take over so that he could let out all that pint up energy. He ran and ran for hours covering our territory five times before he was so worn out that we collapsed in my back yard on the way to the house. After a few minutes I got enough energy to phase back to human form and go back in the house; I hit the bed and was out like a light. I woke up to the sound of someone knocking on my door.
"What?" I mumbled into the pillow unwilling to move.
"Dude come on its almost ten we are going to be late for our patrol." I heard Koda say from the other side of the door. Fuck, I forgot about patrols today I thought as I crawled out of bed.
"Alright fine let's go," I said walking out of my room in just some gym shorts.
"Do you want a shower or anything first?" Koda asked looking at me a little disgusted.
"No, I will take one when I get back," I snapped. I knew I smelt bad from my long run last night, but what was the use of a shower if I was just going to get dirty again on my patrol.
"Alight," Koda said throwing his hands up in defeat.
We walked out the back door and phased before taking off into the woods. I was hoping to just have a nice relaxing patrol, but Koda couldn't keep his mouth shut the whole time. He wanted to know about everything that happened with Ali and how I felt about being her mate, about thirty minutes into the conversation I told him that if he asked me one more question I would put him on double patrols for the rest of the week; I hadn't heard a word from him since.
I was not in the mood to talk about Ali; I wasn't in the mood for anything to do with Ali. My wolf was still pissed off at her for attacking him, and so was I for that matter. If she was planning to be part of my pack she was going to have to learn some respect, and fast; I wasn't going to let her get away with her smart ass ways anymore.
The rest of the patrol went fast after I got Koda to stop talking about Ali, and soon we were back in my back yard in human form. I told Koda I would meet up with him later and went in to take a long overdue shower. The hot water running across my body helped me relax and let go of all the stress I had building up. I jumped out of the shower, got dresses, and headed for the door.
"Amaro, will you come in here for a minute?" My father called from his office right as I reached the front door. Damn, what did he want know?
"Yeah dad, what is it?" I asked leaning on the door frame of his office.
"You need to go over and see Ali today. I'm sure that she will have a lot of questions for you, and you should get her use to her wolf," he said not bothering to look up from his paperwork.
"Are you kidding me dad? After that shit she pulled with me yesterday you want me to go out with her wolf?" I asked with anger, I was now standing in front of his desk with my arms crossed. Was he seriously thinking that I wanted to go see Ali right now?
"Amaro it was her first time being a wolf and she had no training or knowledge of the ways of our pack. You cannot blame her for her actions. Not to mention she's your mate! Now go over there and show her how to properly conduct herself as a wolf," my father said looking up at me now; he had a serious look on his face telling me not to cross him right now.
I turned on my heels and stomped out the door without another word. This is just ridiculous that I have to train Ali how to be a wolf! Who cares if she's my mate, she doesn't even know what a mate is. I wasn't even sure if I could control myself around her yet. This had 'bad idea' written all over it, but I guess I really didn't have any other choice then to just get it over with. I ran over to Ali's house in wolf form and phased back to human form before knocking on the door. Her father answered and invited me in; I sat at the kitchen table while he went upstairs to get her.
"I have to run over and talk to your father about a few things, I will be back around nine tonight. Do you think that you could watch over Ali while I am gone?" Richard asked when he returned from upstairs.
"I don't need a babysitter dad, I'm almost eighteen." Ali's voice came from behind her father before I was able to speak.
"Sure, no problem," I chimed in knowing it would get under Ali's skin. If I had to suffer through being her with her then she was going to have to suffer too.
"Thanks," her father said as Ali shot me an evil look.
Her father gave her a quick kiss to the forehead and headed out the door. Ali came to sit in the chair across the table from me and twirled a piece of her hair around her finger. I was waiting for whatever smart ass comment she had for me, and was prepared to fire one right back at her.
"Well I guess I should start by saying that I shouldn't have attacked you in the woods. It was wrong, and I will try not to do it again," she stated as she let go of the piece of hair she was playing with. Hmm, good choice of words, she was able to apologize without actually saying that she was sorry and she didn't promise not to attack her Alpha again, just said that she would try not to.
"That's not good enough," I said raising my eyebrows at her.
"What? Why the hell not? I apologized, didn't I?" She spat back, her eyes narrowed as she stared at me.
"No you worded your way around a pathetic excuse for an apology, and I'm not going to accept that," I countered, leaning back in my chair to get more comfortable; that really pissed her off and her face flashed with anger.
"What exactly is it that you want me to say Amaro?"
"I'm not going to tell you what to say, if you really know that you were wrong then the right words should just come to you," I said thumbing through the newspaper on the table.
"Did you just come over here to be an ass, or was there another reason you're here?" She asked, obviously giving up on the whole apology thing.
"I was sent here to teach you how to compose your wolf since you apparently have some control issues."
"I am not the one with the control issues here," she said raising her eyebrows at me this time.
"I was born to have control sweetheart, you were born to follow me," I said as a smirk spread across my face.
Ali jumped up from the table causing her chair to fall back and hit the ground. Her whole body started shaking and seconds later she was a wolf. I didn't even have enough time to think before she was midair about to tackle me; at the last second my wolf took over and I phased. Her body landed on mine hard, knocking us both to the kitchen floor; the wooden chair I was sitting in shattered to pieces.
I let out a growl as I felt Ali's claws dig into my arm; I managed to get my paw around her and flip her underneath me. Her jaws snapped shut as she was trying to bite my face and missed by inches. Seconds later I had her pinned once again by her neck to the floor; I could feel my teeth almost breaking her skin and she let out a cry. When was this stupid girl going to learn not to fuck with me?
