Aliyah Staton
There I was, once again pinned down under Amaros wolf body; his teeth digging into my throat. Damn, I really needed to learn how to control my anger; it seemed like my temperament had only gotten worse since I turned into a werewolf. I had always had a short temper, but now it seemed like my fuse was already lit and I was just waiting to blow.
I think I had a good reason to attack Amaro this time; he told me I was born to be a follower. Are you kidding me, I wasn't born to be a follower. Nobody was born to be a follower; people just ended up as followers when they didn't have the balls to be leaders. I am not a follower and I intended on proving that to Amaro; well that was up until a few moments ago when he pinned me to the ground.
"I will not warn you about this again Ali," Amaro growled. not loosening his grip around my neck.
"Maybe if you didn't treat me like a child then I wouldn't have to fight with you," I yelled back through mind link careful not to move in fear of him ripping my throat out.
"If you didn't act like a child I wouldn't treat you like one," he said back followed with a growl.
"Fine Amaro, you're right. I am sorry, I acted without thinking again. I really am sorry and I will try my best to control my temper," I said finally realizing that this wasn't worth a fight; I should just fall in line wherever I belong in the pack, it was what I was destined to do even if I didn't like it.
Amaro let go of my wolf and took a few steps back before phasing back into human form. I picked myself up off the floor and phased back too. That was so stupid of me to attack him like that again, agh, this was frustrating. I followed Amaro into the living room and sat down on the couch next to him, he looked up surprised to find me that close.
"I truly am sorry Amaro; I don't know what got into me," I said looking up to meet his eyes. He still looked angry, but I could see that part of him still wanted to be there with me.
"You have to learn to control your anger Ali, you can't just get mad and then bust out into a wolf. It is dangerous if you can't control your wolf and when to phase, can you imagine if that happened out in public?" Amaro asked looking back down at the floor.
"I know, I'm sorry. I promise that I will try my best not to allow that to happen again. It's just all so new to me," I said reaching over for his hand.
I wanted to feel his touch; it felt like it had been so long since I touched him. He looked up at me once our hands were touching; I wondered if he could feel the same sparks between our skin as I could. No words were spoken between us as we stared into each other's eyes. I saw his body lean closer to me and mine mimicked the action automatically.
Our lips were just inches apart and I could feel his breath as it blew across my cheek sending chills down my spine; I whimpered, begging him to close the gap. His lips crushed into mine, I could feel the need and desire pouring off his body as he explored my lips with his tongue. My hands found their way up to his hair and I ran my fingers across his scalp as he started trailing kisses down my neck.
"Mine!" He whispered as he reached the base of my neck and sucked lightly over the collarbone.
'Mate' my wolf called out as my body melted under his touch; I still don't know what that means but if it makes me feel this good I'm all for it. Amaro grabbed me by my waist and pulled my body so that I was lying on the couch and he was straddled over me. I could see the burning need in his eyes before he lowered himself back down to kiss me again.
My body reacted to his and our lips started to move as one; my hands dug into his back pulling his body closer to mine. He rested his weight on his elbows so that he didn't crush me. I wanted more of him, I wanted all of him; I needed him. The sound of a car pulling in the driveway had Amaro jumping up and off of me in seconds; I couldn't help but giggle as I watched him nervously straighten his clothes.
"Who is it?" I asked sitting up on the couch straightening my hair and clothes.
"Georgia." Amaro replied rolling his eyes, he must not like her much I thought to myself.
I got up to answer the door right as Georgia was walking up the steps. I had text her earlier that day to let her know that I had woken up from my coma and she couldn't wait to see me.
"Oh my god Ali!" She said as she wrapped me into a tight hug.
When I finally got her to let go of me I invited her in and we talked for about an hour before she had to go. I saw Amaro let out a sigh of relief when she said she had to go; I can't imagine he was very entertained with her constant talking, I liked it though. We said our goodbyes and I walked her to the door; she gave me one more quick hug and was on her way. The whole time Georgia was here I didn't have time to think about what had happened between Amaro and I on the couch, but now that she was gone it was all I could think about. I felt a little awkward now, what do I say to him? How did we go from fighting to making out within minutes?
"Ali," Amaro said breaking me out of my trance. I suddenly realized I was still standing at the door holding the doorknob; I hadn't moved since Georgia left.
"Yeah?" I said turning to face him. He looked a little nervous like he wasn't sure what to say next; I didn't really know what to say either.
"Umm..." He started, but looked like he changed his mind. "Why don't we take your wolf for a run?" He asked. I'm pretty sure it wasn't what he was originally going to say but the thought of letting my wolf run through the woods had me excited so I didn't ask.
"Yeah!" I squealed, trying to hold back my excitement but failing miserably. I waited for Amaro to walk over to the door and I skipped down the steps and to the wood line. I looked back to see him smiling as he picked up his pace to catch up to me.
"Excited?" He asked when he reached me.
"Yep!" I said before allowing my wolf to take over my body as I phased. I was amazed at how easy it was that time; after my 'phase on the fly' stunt I pulled in the kitchen I came to realize that if I just let go then there was no pain and I could change in seconds.
"I'm impressed," Amaro said through mind link once he phased and was standing next to me.
"Yeah it probably would have taken me a lot longer to learn if I would have let you teach me instead of Tadeo," I teased as I took off in a full run; Amaro was on my heels in seconds.
