"Remind me why we're glad he's back again?" Ava rolled her eyes and sat down.
" He's here to regulate your movements"mom laughed.
"I told you we had to talk and you came back late last night and slept in this morning"I said.
" It's the weekend,high school students party on Fridays and sleep in on Saturday"She started eating her cereal.
" Mom,Bella,Ava..it's been two weeks I came back from Rehab and I've thought about it long and hard"I said.
" Talk Jamie"mom prodded.
" I'm looking into houses near NYU, I'm starting school next semester and I can't continue paying rent for two apartments"I said.
" You want us to move with you? What about our life here? Our friends, School, Our home"Ava looked at me.
" When dad died and we left L. A, we lived, we'll find new friends and make a new home.. a home isn't a house, it's people in it"I said.
" Jamie, I thought you loved it here"mom held my hand.
" I did but whenever I close my eyes at night I'm scared that Steven might be lurking around somewhere.. I signed a contract of two years.. I worked for eight months"I said.
" He got you hooked on cocaine in those miserable months"Ava replied.
" Ava shut the fuck up... If he wants us to move.. then we'll leave, We want just want you to be comfortable"Bella smiled
" No.. no, why do we always have to act like he's a prince or something... I'm not leaving, we can't keep going wherever you want us to.. you can't keep controlling our lives.. mom got a job after three years of being in a wheel chair,we are finally settled"Ava shouted.
" Then pay the damn rent..NYU is far from here...do I have to pay for two apartments?mom can always get a new job..you're going to college next year...I need to leave this place that holds to much bad memories for me"I lost my temper.
" I hate you"she shouted and ran upstairs.
" She's just mad"Mom smiled.
" I'm so sorry mom"I cried.
" It's okay Jamie..I understand you,we Left L.A because we wanted to move on from daddy's death,if you're scared of being here then we'll go"Bella hugged me.
"I'm just a problem"I looked at mom
" No you're not,you're the best son I could've asked for..I would choose to be your mom in my next life because I love you "mom hugged me.
" Me too,let's be twins in our next life so we can shove Ava in the toilet and flush it"Bella smiled.
" That's your twin sister"mom laughed.
" I'm going to talk to her"Bella stood up and went upstairs.
I missed Lily.she would know what to say to me right now.
