Emma awoke shivering. Ever since Ingrid had died and Elsa and Ana had gone home to Arendelle, there was always a reminder of their existence in the weather. The cold sting you felt as soon as you took a step outside was starting to follow them inside Emma's new house. She couldn't stand the cold weather, but tolerated it.
"You okay, Swan?" Killian asked her with a reassuring smile. "It's okay, love. You just fell asleep for a while." He placed his hand on the back of her head and kissed her forehead softly. "You know you're bloody adorable when you're sleeping?" He raised his eyebrow and winked at her; his typical Killian charm. Emma rolled her eyes in sarcasm and exhaustedly managed a smile.
"What time is it?" Emma croaked, still a little groggy from her nap, looking at the clock.
"It's 8:00 Emma, why?" Emma looked at him with sympathy, and he cocked his head in confusion.
"I slept through our date? Oh my gosh Killian I'm so sor-"
"Don't worry about it, love. I enjoy holding you." She looked up at the smirking pirate. "Shall we get back to the Netf.. device we were watching?" She loved how he knew absolutely nothing of technology.
"You mean Netflix?" She laughed softly up at him. They were on the couch under a thin blanket. His arm was draped around her like it was natural, and her left and his right hands were interlocked and lied gently between their legs. They sat in silence watching Pirates of the Caribbean, Killian's choice of course, for the longest time before Killian bike the silence.
"Emma...?" He looked as if he had to say something difficult. "I... I need to tell you something important..." His smooth pirate accent filled her ears. Although his voice was cool, and his eyes said it all. She knew something was up with him. Something had been eating away at him for a while, but she knew he would tell her on his own time.
"What's wrong?" She questioned him in somewhat of a whisper, moving her hand up to the side of his face. She could feel his jaw clench.
"The fairies... I put them in the hat. They're gone, and so is the apprentice..." He looked as if he had been shot in the chest. "It's my fault they're gone... in that hat and I need to help them get out." She furrowed her eyebrows sympathizing him.
"Killian... don't do that to yourself. You know you had no choice. Mr Gold had your heart and he took advantage of you. It was his choice, not yours, he should be the one who feels bad. You're not to blame okay?" She leaned into him slowly and buried her face in his. Fierce, then deeper. Giving into her lips, Hook cupped her chin with one hand and supported the small of her back with the other, while trying not to hook her with his.. well you know. She entangled her hands in his perfect jet black hair, pulling him as close as he could come. His lips formed perfectly on hers, as if his lips were made to fit hers. She pulled away, and their eyes met. They smiled at each other.
"Emma?" He leaned his forehead onto hers, their noses brushed against one another.
"Yes?" She met with his eyes.
"I... I think I..." his voice was shaking. Killian closed his eyes and took a deep breath. "I think I... I love-"
