Chapter 4: Whats Wrong David?

As she got in her cold yellow Bug, Emma was worried. Worried about David, Henry, Hook... everyone. What if Henry got hurt? He was with Hook, but somehow the town line disappeared. Now anyone could cross and come back. They all suspected it to be Rumplestiltskin, but no one had seen the proof... or him. It was only a matter of time before he came back and tried to kill everyone with whatever sick twisted plan he would have next. Emma was still angry that he had tried to kill Hook just for more power, to create pain just for more power. She drove down the street towards the sheriff's station. Opening the door, she walked down the hallway. It was colder than usual and she got a funny sense.

"David?" She called down the echoing hallway. It was strange, his truck was parked outside in his usual spot. She started to hesitatingly head slowly to her office. Her boots echoed with every step she made, giving a warning to anyone listening, that she was coming. It was so silent that she could hear the ceiling lights softly buzzing. She got to the end of the hallway and unlocked the door to her office. "David!?" She grabbed her mouth as the office door slammed shut behind her. "David?! Are you okay?!" She looked in her chair where her father was sitting tied up to with duct tape over his mouth. He had a black eye and was knocked out completely. She shook him awake and started untying him. David jolted with enormous eyes looking frantically around. She ripped the duct tape off of his mouth and resumed untying him. He winced at the pain.

"Gold. He's here, and he's not alone." He exclaimed with not much surprise in his voice.

"I knew it." Emma exemplified remembering her nightmare. "What the hell did he want?" She raised her voice. Her dad looked around at his feet as his eyes got impossibly bigger than beforehand.

"No, no, no! God Damn it! No! Gold!" He paused, trying to find words to explain whatever horror had occurred. "He took your brother, Emma!"
