A cold sweat broke over Emma's forehead.
"Keep untying me!" David's voice shook as he struggled to break free of his binds. The sounds of David's voice faded as she wondered off into an abyss of her own thoughts. She could only imagine what it was like to lose one kid, herself, but now they had lost a second. She shook her head, waking herself up.
Emma's hands trembled with shock and anger, making the effort to unbind David slower. She finished untying the last knot. David shot up from his chair.
"Let's go get your brother," he looked as if he would murder anyone who got in his way, she remembered the same look in Killian's eyes when he wanted to murder Rumplestiltskin for killing Milah. He grabbed his sword and flung it across the room, breaking a lamp and making a dent in the metal cases that held the safety records. It hit the metal with a loud bang, echoing for a while. He snatched it off if the ground and started to head out the door. Emma grabbed his arm, stopping him. He glared at her, the devil in his eyes. She had never seen him like this.
"David," she scrunched her eyebrows at him. "Nothing comes good out of revenge. We can't just go after the dark one, we don't even know where he is," he was shocked in disbelief at what she had said.
"Emma they took your brother!" His voice was raising, getting angrier with every sentence. "You can't just expect me to sit here! Think about what Gold could be doing to him! He doesn't care about any of us including little Neal!"
"Look, David," he stopped fighting her and listened. "Of course I know this, but I also know he wouldn't do any of this without a plan. That's what he wants. He wants us to go after him. He's cunning, and he's smart, and he will win if we don't act smart." She let go of the grip on his arm. He relaxed only slightly, listening to the idea she was about to pursue. "We need to stop Gold, but we need a plan first," as she stated her plan, the door to the sheriff's station opened quietly. Mary Margaret walked in with her usual smile on her face 24/7.
"Hey... Is everything okay?" She asked as she saw the immense pain in David and Emma's eyes.
"Mary Margaret, he took him," David's voice cracked twice as he managed to choke out the words.
"Who took who?" She asked cocking her head to the side confused. "David... where's Neal?" Her voice grew uneasy as she searched for her son in the room. Emma told the rest of the story. As she did, the expression on Snow's face changed drastically. David embraced Mary Margaret so tightly as she bloodshot multiple screams. Her knees buckled. David lifted her, holding her frail, helpless body bridal style. Emma grabbed her gun and started out the door. She couldn't watch this. She had to be the strong one. Witnessing her parents breaking down wasn't helping the cause.
"Emma, where are you going?" Snow heaved between gasps, tears, and the wiping of them. They both wondered their eyes at her.
"I'm going to see someone who might know where to look for him. Someone who personally knows him," Emma turned and stomped out the door. The heavy station door slammed shut. "I'm going to see his wife," she slid the gun into the back of her pants. "I will find you, Gold. I don't know if you are somehow watching me with your Dark-One magic but I will find you. I will kill you if you even THINK about harming my brother." She slammed the front glass door to the station so hard that it cracked. Emma got in her police car and floored it in the direction of Mr Gold's shop. The sirens wailed their mournful cry throughout town.
