Dallia's POV 🌼
I can't believe I found Dae in a restaurant with another woman. As soon as I heard the tone of her laugh, it broke through all the sound at the restaurant like a bullet straight to my ears. My brain knew instantly what was happening, but my heart didn't want to believe it.
When I approached the table Dae and a petite beauty sat at, I could barely breathe. The young woman with Dae looked shocked as we spoke; I could tell right there and then that she didn't know I even existed.
"What are you doing here?" I asked, pointing at Dae with an accusatory finger. "You said you were working mandatory overtime!"
That is when Dae looked me dead and the eye and lied, "I said no such thing."
To say I was shocked is an understatement. All the air started to rush out of my lungs, and I began to feel a little dizzy.
The pretty petite woman looked at me with accusatory eyes, "Dae, who is this woman?"
"I'm her girlfriend!" I replied, aggravated with the way she was looking at me.
"No, I'm her girlfriend. YOU must be the crazy ex," she trailed off while Dae calmly took some money out of her wallet and threw it on the table without making eye contact with me.
My hands started involuntarily waving around as I lost my cool while simultaneously trying not to make a scene, "What...what? Dae, tell her who I am! I can't believe you've been cheating on me."
"We were over a long time ago, Dallia. Don't you think it's time to let it go?" Dae declared calmly while she slid out of the booth tugging the petite woman with her. "Come on, Ma-Ri, let's go."
I couldn't believe Dae was acting like I was stalking her, as if our relationship was long over when I was just finding out about it at that very moment. Never in my life did I ever think Dae could be so dishonest and manipulative.
"Kharma will come for you," is all that fell from my lips as I stood wounded with my jaw hanging on the ground, my body quivering with anger and heartbreak.
"Ewe, why would you ever date a woman with an ass the size of Korea. She's huge!" I heard the petite woman call out as I tried to keep the tears from flooding my eyes.
The next thing I knew, Ari was guiding me to the restroom, asking me gentle questions, and I told her what had happened. "I know I'm not up to traditional beauty standards, but I'm not huge..and even if I was, why would that be a bad thing? I'm curvy....I'm fine....I'm...." I couldn't finish my sentence and finally broke down over all that had happened.
"You're beautiful, and someday her awful words will come back to bite her when Dae up and leaves her for someone else. People like that don't stop cheating. She'll do it to her also someday."
"I was with Dae for years; I didn't see this coming...."
Ari gives me a long hug and pats my tears away. "You and I just became friends for life," she smiled. "I've gone through some heartache in my day as well. You just come visit me at my desk or call me anytime you need to talk."
I gave Ari a hug; I couldn't believe what a kind soul she was to me when she hardly knows me at all. Ari asks for my phone and enters it into her contact information while I try and straighten my face back out.
"I'm humiliated. I hate to go out and face Namjoon and Jimin," I confessed while looking into the small bathroom mirror. I wiped away the remnants of my mascara that had run down my face and tried to make myself look presentable.
"Those boys are wonderful. I promise you, they will want the best for you -nothing more, and nothing less," Ari explained with an air of confidence that only someone who truly knows her friends could relay.
