Dallia's POV 🌼
It's late when we finally land on Jeju Island. The company has provided Jimin with a driver/assistant he could confidently hire for the duration of our trip. He is waiting for us when we arrive, and we are swept away in an SUV towards Jimin's beach home. I fell asleep on the short flight over, and I can feel my eyes start to close again as we drive in the dark. "Hope" by Jon Eun plays quietly on the sound system, and I feel Jimin's soft hand wrap around mine as I fall asleep with the feeling of safety engulfing me.
A while later, I hear Jimin whispering in my ear, "Lovely, time to wake up. We're here." I'm groggy, and he walks around the car, offering his hand to help steady me. I step out and feel the gravel make contact underneath the soles of my shoes, making a satisfying crunching sound in the dark. "Crushed stone ASMR," I whisper sleepily, and Jimin chuckles softly as he leads me inside.
"Lovely, you're exhausted from a long day at work, and so am I. Let's sleep, and I will give you a proper tour in the morning," he says gently. It's not long before I'm tucked into a big comfortable bed with Jimin curled around me, his head resting on my chest, and I'm lulled back to sleep by the sound of his steady breaths dancing across my chest.
The next morning I can feel Jimin lying next to me; having turned in the night, he's clutching a pillow while still fast asleep. My eyes barely want to open; while I try and pry them open, I take a moment to look over Jimin's face. If Jimin didn't have an amazing personality and a great sense of humor, I wouldn't have fallen for him -but I also can't get over how handsome he is, and I have to push down that nagging feeling that I'm not special enough to deserve him.
Carefully I sit up as my eyes adjust, and the room comes into focus. Jimin's beach home isn't as styled as his apartment. This has more of a rustic, cozy, laid-back feeling. White walls and lush linens make for a homey space, while large french doors let light pour in from the beautiful day forming outside.
Something catches my eye, a curious piece of furniture I've never seen before. It's a beautiful navy blue faux leather -but it's not quite a chair, not quite a chaise lounge, and I cock an eyebrow at it trying to take it all in. One side has a low curving arc, while the other has a tall curving arc. I'm curious about the width. It looks comfortable enough to lay on but is narrow enough that one could straddle the chair and place their feet comfortably on the ground on each side. I feel immediately drawn to this furniture, my eyes dragging up and down its curves with curiosity.
I tear my eyes away from the furniture and quietly pad across the room, opening a door, and happily finding a clean bathroom waiting for me. Unlike the rustic bedroom, the bathroom is downright luxurious. Dark marble accented with swirled streaks of gray and white line a large shower. A shelf with dark plush towels neatly folded on it sits below a shelf full of high-end shampoos, soaps, and creams. I decide to partake in a leisurely shower. Opening a shampoo bottle, I inhale, delighted in the fact that it smells like Jimin, and I bask in the feeling of hot water pouring over my body as I lather myself with his soap.
When I finish, I squeeze the water from my long hair and run a brush through it. I dry myself with one of the fluffy towels on hand, and I'm impressed with the quality. I wrap the giant towel around me, feeling like a brand new person.
When I exit the bathroom, I stop to glance out the french doors. Jimin's home hugs the sandy shore, and I can't get over the view. The tranquil blue waves stretch out as far as the eye can see. I can hear the waves crashing over each other, and watch as the white peaks dissipate into the deep blue expanse. To the left, there is a slight mountain view, and I don't think I've ever seen a prettier scene. I'm lost in my thoughts when I suddenly feel Jimin's presence behind me.
