Chp. 40: I Love When a Plan Comes Together

Jimin's POV 💫

"Hey Jimin, I want you to come into my office and watch something with me," Lily says solemnly, making me uneasy. It is rare she uses this tone with me or that we go into her office; she usually spends all of her time in the studio.

We settle down in the comfortable office chairs in front of Lily's desk as she sets up her laptop, and as the picture comes into view, I realize Lily is streaming live footage from Ha-Kun's office. He is sitting with Ye-Joon and an older gentleman with similar facial features.

"Lily, what is going on?" I ask, confused.

"Just trust me, you will want to see this," she utters, engrossed with what is unfolding before us.

Suddenly, Dallia enters Ha-Kun's office, and I lean toward the laptop. My heart stutters in my chest, and I strain to see every detail of her perfect face. I haven't seen her in weeks and seeing her only cements how much I miss everything about her.

"Dallia...." her whispered name escapes my lips as my heart beats quickly, thumping in my eardrums.

"Hello, Ha-Kun. I got your message that you wanted to see me?" Dallia says. "Ye-Joon? Hi, how are you? I didn't know you would be here -or am I interrupting something?"

Ye-Joon doesn't answer but gives a little wave and then looks down at his feet. "Come, take a seat. There is something I'd like you all to see." Ha-Kun replies. "Dallia, this is Ye-Joon's father, who I appreciate greatly for taking the time out of his busy day to meet with us."

"Oh, Sir! It's nice to meet you!" Dallia says cheerfully. "Your son is so talented!"

"Pfft," I let out in jealousy.

"Jimin, shush, just listen," Lily complains as she turns the volume up on her computer.

"Yes, it's nice to meet you all, but I'm a little confused why I was summoned here with such insistence," Ye-Joon's father replies stiffly.

Ha-Kun turns on the large monitor that's mounted on his office wall. "Well, as most of us in this room know, Dallia's business was broken into several weeks ago, and we could not disseminate who the culprit was from our security footage."

"Oh, is that what you need help with? My son has been so happy with your services Dallia, I'd be happy to try and pull some of my resources together to help bring you some justice with this situation." Ye-Joon's father kindly offers.

Dallia looks confused as she glances up at Ha-Kun. I can tell by her telling facial expression she clearly wasn't given any details about this meeting before it took place.

"That is precisely why I've called you here, Sir. We would be so appreciative of your help," Ha-Kun replies.

"Well, I can keep you all in the loop over how my father can help when I come to my lessons. I'm glad we can help you, Dallia. Let's go, father; I know you are super busy...." Ye-Joon offers as he goes to stand.

"Before you go, I'd love to show you the evidence we have thus far. Dallia hasn't even seen this yet," Ha-Kun explains. Ha-Kun hits play, and I recognize the footage we reviewed together where we couldn't figure out if the break-in was committed by a male or female subject, and I wonder how this could help anyone.

"So here is the footage we were able to record from our rooftop cameras," Ha-Kun explains. "As you can see, the person was very careful to hide their appearance and walked onto the property."

"Oh, wow," Dallia breathes out. "This isn't very helpful, I'm afraid. I still don't understand why I was targeted..." her voice sounds like it is cracking, and I wish I could rush in and wrap her in my arms. I yearn to feel her warm body against mine and console her.
