Dallia's POV 🌼
"Binna, what do you think of this dress?" I ask as I step out of the dressing room.
Binna looks at me long and hard, "It's pretty." Her words come out flat, making me frown.
"What's wrong with it? I can't tell you don't think it's that great," I trail off.
"Not enough sparkles! It's boring," she tells me, which causes me to roll my eyes at her.
One thing about Binna is that she doesn't hold her opinions back when prompted. She is very truthful, and some people misconstrue that this is because she has Down Syndrome, which really pisses me off. They don't understand that she is a thinking person all in her own right, and I care about her opinions, even if I don't always agree with them. At the end of the day, she is still my big sister!
Jae chuckles, "I agree with Binna; this is boring. Next!"
"Yes! Give me five!" Binna says excitedly while presenting her hand for a high-five. They slap their palms together as I smirk.
I turn in the mirror looking at the simple black dress, "Hmm, I think this is okay. I don't want to embarrass Jimin," I trail off.
"Oh, good lord. You aren't going to embarrass him in that dress, because you will just blend into the wall. Confidence, Queen! You need confidence!" Jae exclaims.
Jae's personality is so big and bold. I wish I had even an ounce of her exuberance. I can see why she matches so well with Jungkook.
"Come on, Binna. Let's go find your sister a few dresses with more pizazz to try on!" Jae says, and the two go back to the racks to browse.
A few moments later, they return with an armload of dresses in different colors and styles I would never pick for myself, but I'm determined to go with the flow and not listen to that voice in my head that says I'm too curvy to wear something that may garnish attention.
After trying on a few dresses that we all determine I should pass on, I decide to run out to the racks myself and pull a few more choices together. I return, and when I emerge from the dressing room this time, I hear Jae gasp.
"What do you think of this instead?" I ask as I turn in a circle.
"That is perfection!" Jae says, and Binna claps her hands together.
I take a deep breath while Iooking myself over in the full-length mirror. I chose a black jumpsuit, and I feel much more comfortable in it than in any of the dresses I tried on. It has a fitted bodice embroidered with an intricate black lace design and a high apron neckline. Spaghetti straps frame the open back, while the pant legs fall below the fitted waistband.
"Are you sure my ass doesn't look too big?" I ask worriedly.
"Fuck, no! You look hot!" Jae chuckles. "I wish my ass looked that good!" I blush from the compliment.
"Oh, oh wait! I know what will make this perfect!" Binna yells, and she is already up and running away.
I go to run after her, but Jae stops me, "It's all good. I've got her back," she says unbothered as she goes to find where Binna has run off to.
They return in short order, with binna holding a fitted faux matte leather jacket made in a deep jade green color with a diagonal zipper. I slip it on, and it fits me perfectly.
"Oh, Binna!" I gasp. "This is perfect." I'm so pleased that this makes for the perfect accessory. I love that it allows me to stay modest if I would like to stay covered up, or I can choose to remove it and show a bit of myself. Having choices makes me feel so much more comfortable.
