Dallia's POV 🌼
Jimin was right, Jin's girlfriend Hana is lovely, and I love all the different personalities that these fabulous women have. Lily feels iconic, but caring. Jae is my new bold friend. Ari is my voice of reason, and Hana is fast becoming a sweet presence at the table.
"Oh, looks like we have company," Hana says, looking up with a smile. "Hi Taehyung, you look dashing this evening."
"Thanks, Hana. You all look lovely as well," Tae smiles. "Dallia, I was wondering if you would join me for a dance."
"Tae, what are you up to?" Ari asks while cocking an eyebrow at him.
"Nothing! I can ask a friend to dance," he says, the corner of his mouth turning up as a mischievous grin tugs on the corners of his lips.
"Tae-Tae, be good," Lily chuckles. "I recognize that look. You have a plan forming."
"I will neither confirm nor deny anything," he laughs as he offers his hand, and I take it, not sure what is happening.
He leads me to the dance floor and begins to slow dance with me, leaving a respectful distance between us when he rests his hand on my hip and embraces my other hand as the DJ plays a slow blues tune.
"I see you took my advice; you certainly dressed to impress," he smiles. "You look very pretty."
"Thank you, Tae. You look nice as well." I glance over him. He has a black button-down on with gray slacks, looking casually cool.
"Thanks. So, let's get down to business. Did you ask Jimin out on a date yet?" he grins.
I start to shake all over with nervous laughter, "Gosh, you are persistent! Umm, no, I didn't"
He twirls me around slowly and brings me back to him, "See, I had a feeling you were going to say that, but that's okay. I predict this dance is making one Park Jimin extremely jealous right now and he is going to come to claim you very soon..."
My eyes widen. This man's audacity is both overwhelming and charming at the same time. His personality reminds me a bit of how Lily's personality can be - a bit of a hurricane force.
"Oh, I don't think so...." I start to reply.
"Hello, Miss. I heard this man was bothering you. Let me cut in and save you from this unruly boy," Jimin cuts in suddenly, and I watch the light in Tae's eyes brighten.
Tae wiggles his eyebrows at me before Jimin can catch him. "My lady, until we meet again," Tae bows dramatically and disappears into the crowd stopping to talk to Hobi, who is animatedly chatting up the staff.
"Are you enjoying yourself?" Jimin asks as I feel his hand slip onto my hip, making the skin on my arms prickle.
"I am. Everyone is so kind here, and I see so many smiling faces. It seems like everyone is enjoying the celebration."
Jimin's hand feels so soft in mine but also strong. There is a mix of masculinity and softness to Jimin that makes him almost irresistible, and I feel like I'm falling down the rabbit hole the more time I spend with him. I keep trying to remind myself that we are friends, but right now, I can feel the heat spreading through me even though he is being completely polite with me.
"We're like a family here. Everyone works hard, similarly to the team at Rogue Records and how you work at your business. We are all cut from the same cloth when it comes to work ethic," Jimin explains.
He leads me in a small twirl and brings me back to him, and this time I land a little closer to him, making my breath hitch.
"That's great," I half-whisper as I look into his piercing brown eyes. Brown eyes that I feel like I could get lost in forever. I force myself to tear my eyes away, afraid my face will give my obvious attraction away.
