Tae's POV 🎺
"Hey, hey! Lunch is here!" I say as I enter Dallia's office.
"Hey, Tae!" Dallia says brightly.
It's been months since everything went down with Dallia and Jimin, and I was so heartbroken for both my friends. I thought they were the perfect match and would find their way back to each other quickly, but it never happened. Jimin's solo album dropped and exploded with excellent reviews, then he left on a mini tour, performing at some big-name festivals. Hobi flew out to a few of Jimin's tour dates and said Jimin was managing his solo work well, but he could tell his heart was still trying to heal.
Dallia scared us all for a while. Even though she is the one who put her foot down with Jimin, she seemed to fall apart afterward, harder than all of us expected. She dropped a scary amount of weight, and her eyes started to look sunken in from lack of sleep. Finally, Ari and Namjoon talked her into going to a few therapy sessions, and Dallia finally started eating again. It's taken many months, but she is in a good place again; her figure is back, and the color has returned to her face. Hobi and I take turns coming to have lunch with her every couple of weeks, and Jae and Lily talked her into going back to boxing lessons.
"Want to go eat in the kitchenette?" I ask, and she nods, following me down the hallway to eat in our regular spot.
"So, how are you doing? You look great!" I say.
"You know what? I feel really good," Dallia replies as she digs into a container of noodles with a smile. "It's been a wild six months, but I've finally turned a corner. I feel like I've finally learned how to stand on my own two feet, and I know I'm worthy of having healthy relationships now," she says with an air of confidence.
"That's amazing, Dallia. You sound really good now; we were all worried," I breathe out, thinking of how hard it was to watch her struggle those first few months.
"I'm good now," she says sweetly and pats my hand for a moment to reassure me. "You and Hobi really don't have to worry."
"Well, since I've noticed you've been doing so well lately. Would you be interested in dating again?" I ask gently.
"Tae, I ugh...." she stutters, her eyes wide, a look of shock overcoming her face.
"Oh, no!" I start laughing. "Not me...."
"Oh...oh my God. I'm embarrassed," Dallia starts belly laughing, her face turning a deep crimson.
"Well, gosh, now I'm slightly insulted," I giggle. "I hope you know that I have a literal army full of people that happen to think I'm a catch," my laugh comes out heartily as I tease her about her response.
"I'm so sorry, Tae," she smiles softly.
"It's okay. It's just that we have a very nice, single bodyguard that is quite handsome that works with us over at BH. He even has his own fans. He's kind and has a very nice income; I thought you might enjoy each other's company," I say, hoping she might be interested in meeting him. I genuinely think they would like each other.
"Again, I'm sorry, Tae. I'm just not interested," she says sweetly between bites.
"It's okay. I just thought I'd try. You deserve love, you know," I reply.
"Can I ask you a question?" she asks and then puts down her utensils, looking at me intently.
"Sure, what's up?"
"Is he okay?" she asks softly.
I almost fall out of my chair. This is the first time since the incident that Dallia has asked me about Jimin, and I almost freeze. "Do you really want to know?" I ask.
