Dallia's POV 🌼

Jimin has been shooting promotional videos for his album. Everything is happening so fast now. No more vocal lessons, the time we can sneak in together we spend telling each other about our lives and what has been happening. Jimin is the only person I can talk to for hours without getting bored. I can never get enough of sharing my thoughts and dreams with him. I try and be his voice of calm every time his inner critic starts doubting his talent too much or if he starts shaming himself about his body not being in the shape of what he thinks an idol's should be. We try and encourage our mental well-being, and honestly, I feel like this is the first healthy relationship I've been in. It's a dream come true.

Since Jimin is scheduled late tonight and we won't be able to see each other, I've decided to have a 'self-care' night to treat myself to an at-home facial and then take the time to give myself a pedicure.

After taking care of my face and using a luxurious face cream, Hobi told me about one day while he was at Rogue, I tie my soft robe around me and work on my toenails. Jimin said he missed me yesterday and sent me a link to a playlist he put together just for me, and I put it on, thinking about him as I paint my toes. I can't get over how sweet he is with me, and I delight in every song he picked for me. Even without the playlist, Jimin is never really far from my thoughts.

As the last coat of red paint dries, I wiggle my toes, excited for Jimin to see them the next time we are together. He is so attentive to every detail about my body, and I know he'll appreciate this little treat when I slip off my shoes. As I daydream about him, a harsh knock comes from the opposite side of my apartment door, ripping through my peaceful evening, and I scrunch my nose. I'm not expecting anyone, so I pad over to the door cautiously and look through the peephole as the harsh knocking begins again, making me jump.

"What the fuc...." I utter under my breath as I open the door.

"It's about time," Dae slurs as she comes tumbling through my door.

"What are you doing here? I didn't invite you in!" I complain, the anger already building up inside me, but she comes in like she owns the place bumping into the hallway wall as she barges toward my living space.

"I'm here for that money you owe me?" she explains.

"Dae, are you drunk? I already explained to you that I paid you back years ago! What in the absolute fuck are you talking about?" I say, raising my voice. If there was ever a time that has solidified how over Dae I am, it is right now. There is nothing more I want than for her to get the fuck out of my apartment. "You need to leave."

"Oh, that's right, you're riding dick now? His testosterone seems to be rubbing off on you -how quaint! Just give me the money, Dallia!" she says, charging at me.

"Are you fucking insane?" I yell and grab her wrists. I've continued taking boxing lessons with Lily, and Dae is not prepared for me to be able to defend myself.

"I need it!" Dae shrieks, the shrillness in her voice shocking me. I've never seen her acting so utterly out of her mind before. "I need the money, Dallia! Just give me the fucking money!"

As she steps forward, I move to the side, a move she is not expecting, and her own force throws her off balance. While she's distracted, I push her, so she falls back and lands on the bed. I prepare myself for her to recover and come at me again, but instead, she starts sobbing and throws her arms out as if she's given up, and that's when I see it....

"Oh my God, Dae! What have you done?" I cry as I grab her arm and pull my face closer. "What did you fucking do?"

Track marks run up and down her arm; her skin is marred with black, blue, and yellow bruises, and I'm in utter shock. That's when I see her, really see her. Pale skin, arms bruised and unrecognizable, dark black circles under her eyes and I freeze in place.
