Jimin's POV 💫"So, this is the footage from the security cameras. It's really hard to tell if this is a man or a woman. They went all out by wearing black and disguising their figure. Large hat, the high mask covering the entire face, gloves, I mean they really went all out," Ha-Kun says as he rewinds the footage again so we can study it.
"I see what you mean, and with the camera being high and at this angle, we can't even tell their height," I say while rubbing my fingers over my chin.
Ha-Kun rewinds the footage back even more, "See, they walk onto the property, so there is no car or license plate to I.D. They definitely were not stupid about what they were doing. It was a simple plan, but well executed," he explains.
"This is so frustrating, but I'm not ruling out that this figure very well could be her shitty ex-girlfriend. I despise her," I utter with disgust.
"You know, not for nothing, but you need to take more care with saying these things, Jimin," Ha-Kun says while looking me deep in the eyes, catching me off guard.
Most of the time, Ha-Kun and I are in a good place. Yes, he did confess he cared for me in the past, and when I didn't return his feelings, it was awkward, but at the end of the day, we are still dear friends, and I trust him with my life. We've come a long way to get back to being comfortable with each other again.
"What do you mean?" I question, feeling uneasy like he is analyzing my soul.
"What I mean is that you have to remember that even though Dae was not a good person to Dallia, she still is a huge part of her past. How would you like it if we all badmouthed your ex to your face every day?" Ha-Kun explains.
I think about that for a few moments and see what he means. "No, I see your point. I just get so mad about Dae. Thinking about her makes my blood boil," I concede.
"Jimin, I've known you for years, and in all this time, I've never seen you care about a partner the way you do with Dallia. Anyone would be a fool not to see it. Make sure you don't drive her away by making her feel bad about that relationship. Trust me, she already feels shame about it. Don't pile on by accident," Ha-Kun says gently while tapping me on the shoulder to drive his point home.
"Thanks for looking out for my best interest. I truly don't deserve it," I blush.
"Just because you weren't interested in me romantically doesn't mean I'll ever stop caring about you, Jimin," Ha-Kun replies matter-of-factly, making my face flush. "I completely understood you didn't reciprocate my feelings, but you will always be one of my favorite people."
"Thank you, my friend," I say, reaching over and giving Ha-Kun a bear hug. I honestly can't understand how I ended up with a friend that cares about me like this.
"Now, I have some ideas about how we can identify who this is. What do you think of this idea..." Ha-Kun continues, and I listen intently to the details of his plan.
💜
After finishing with Ha-Kun, I wander over to Dallia's side of the building. She's not expecting to see me, I had a last-minute shift in my schedule, and I thought I'd stop by and chat with Ha-Kun about the footage and then surprise Dallia, knowing she should be finished for the day right about now.
As I make my way to her, I hear music coming from the chorus room, and then I see my beautiful girlfriend dancing in the mirror while music pumps through the speakers, and I'm mesmerized. Dallia and I have never spoken about dancing, yet here she is making some moves that are combinations of contemporary and modern dance. She's sweet and sexy, freely swinging herself through the space, feeling the music, and I love that this woman is always surprising me.
I slide off my shoes and enter the space while she is making a turn, and when she finishes, she catches my eye in the mirror's reflection and turns a lovely crimson color. She goes to speak, but I hold my finger up to my mouth, indicating silence, and she stands still for a moment catching her breath.
Meanwhile, the song ends, and "Cruel" by Jackson Wang kicks in, and I can't help but smirk. I roll up to her, wrap my hands around her waist, and glide her around the room. Our arms wrap around each other as we move together. She blushes, but it only takes a few moments before she is grinding into me, and the dance becomes an exotic scene shared between two people completely enthralled with each other.
I turn her away from me so we are both facing the mirror, and I kiss down her neck; she smiles with hooded eyes. I twirl her slowly away from me and then reel her back in. We face each other when she's returned, lazily swaying back and forth while I capture her lips with mine. I'm lost in her, drowning in all the feelings I have for her. I've never been so completely head over heels for someone in my entire life. I thought I had been, but I was wrong; this is my person.
The music switches again, and "Lights Down Low" by Max comes on, and I sense a shift in Dallia's demeanor. She begins kissing me with so much passion I'm almost overcome by it. Without a second thought, I sweep her into my arms and carry her until we reach her office.
"What are you doing, Jimin," she asks me in a dreamy voice.
Over the weeks, I helped her get her office back to how it was originally. I even surprised her by hiring Ari to paint a replica of the painting that was destroyed in the break-in. A special gift that I was so proud to give her. "We're going to christen your new office," I breathe out, and she tosses her head back with a broad smile signaling her submission to my idea.
I lay her down and make love to Dallia slowly; the sounds of the music fade away from me as we melt into each other. All that can be heard are the sounds of us moaning and crying out for each other. It feels like we are the only two people in the world, and when she releases for me, my name falling from her pouty lips over and over, I lose myself knowing there will never be another for me. She is my angel that came and saved me.
When we finish, she pulls the decorative blanket off the back of the couch and gingerly tucks it around our naked bodies as she lays her head on my chest.
"I didn't know you knew how to dance, my Lovely. Have you been keeping secrets from me?" I tease.
"No, no," she giggles. "I don't really know much. I have about three moves I learned from a beginner's dance class I took as an elective when I was in school."
"Well, it's enough for me," I sigh. I could care less if this woman had two left feet; I'd still be thrilled to dance with her at any chance I could get.
"I love you, Jimin," she smiles against my lips and then pecks me softly.
"I love you too. Let's stay like this for a while and then go get some dinner," I suggest, and she nods while she squeezes me around my waist.
She's perfection.
