Dustin began to walk towards where his compass was leading him. He

"Where are you going? Hey, hey, hey, hey, hey. Eddie's still a wanted man. We can't just go hiking into the woods." Steve remarked trying to stop the kids from wandering off to god knows where.

Dustin turned on his heel facing Eddie Y/n Robin and Steve before grumbling, "This little steel capsule might be the key to saving both Max and Eddie." Dustin turned to Eddie who was still sitting on his small stone seat, "What say you, Eddie the Banished?"

Steve Dustin and even Eddie knew that the young boy was playing into Eddie's love for DnD.

Eddie glanced at Y/n without her noticing while Dustin watched as he wondered what he looked at her for. Perhaps he was considering her in his next choice, all Eddie could think was 'should I stay or should I go?'

"I say you're asking me to follow you into Mordor, which, if I'm totally straight with you, I think is a terrible idea. But, uh, the Shire... The Shire is burning."

Y/n glanced back at Eddie noticing he used a 'lord of the rings' analogy, "So Mordor it is," She nodded earning a disapproving look from Eddie. Eddie jumped up going after Dustin as they all began to dawdle away

Steve couldn't help but feel lost in the conversation, "What is Mordor?" Robing let out an exhilarated sigh happy to have Steve back. "C'mon."

Y/n was left last in the group to leave but she noticed eddies jacket was still there, steve kept an eye on her and noticed her picking up the jacket so he yelled over to Eddie, "Get your stuff, dude. Let's go." Eddie walked back and snatched it out of her hands while he let out an inaudible grumble before trotting back towards Dustin. Y/n stood there confused and taken aback, he had been so kind and sweet to her and now he has started being a royal asshole.

Steve walked back to Y/n and told her, "Hey, it's alright. Let's get going so we don't lose them." He placed an arm around her shoulder 'supportively'.

Eddie tried not to trip over every branch in harm's way while trying to keep up with his short friend. "Dustin? Can you slow down? Dustin?"

Dustin glanced briefly not lowing his pace as he yelled back to the group, "I think we are getting close."

"Watch your step, big guy," Eddie patted Dustin's chest, pushing him back as he was about to step his foot into the water. As the others began to catch up, Eddie turned to see Y/n approaching with steves arm wrapped securely around her shoulder. He couldn't help but send a look to Dustin as he pretended not to notice Eddie's glare.

"Oh, man." Steve voiced as he finally began to recognise where they were, causing Y/n to come out of her daydream as Steve slipped his arm away from her shoulder.

Eddie grumbled as he looked at the all too familiar site. "You gotta be shitting me...I thought these woods were familiar."

Robin confirmed everyone's thoughts by announcing to the group, "Lover's Lake."

"This is confounding," Dustin uttered earning a nod of approval from the h/c girl.

"There's a gate in Lover's Lake?" Max looks at the others while Eddie looked around just as confused as the small redhead.

"Whenever the Demogorgon attacked, it always left an opening... maybe Vecna's the same way."

"Yeah, only one way to find out. "

They all looked towards a canoe small enough to fit barely four people in it.  Y/n helped push it back into the water a bit so it wouldn't be as difficult when the boat is twice its weight.
