Worlds Apart - Steve Harrington x Reader x Eddie Munson

Chapter 11 - "Keep out of it Harrington!"

The thunder continued booming as the creatures persisted, chittering along in delight as they won over Steve not going near Y/n on the floor squirming and crying out in pain while Steve was struggling against the bat's grip gasping for help and gasping for a bit of air.  Y/n was broken from her cries of pain holding her head by the creature's whimpers and squeals. She looked up Noticing Eddie and Robin had found their way and were helping Steve. Just as she began to stand up trying desperately to ignore the pain and overload in her head she felt herself being dragged along the floor by a large vine.

 "Kill it! Kill it!" She could hear Eddie in the distance as she got farther and farther away. 

"Oh, for fuck sake!" She cried out feeling her head hit a few rocks along the way. Eddie watched her get pulled along the broken cement floor deciding to call out to Robin and the now-recovering Steve, "I am going to help her." Only to get pulled back by Robin, "We are dying here we can barely fend these off with three of us."

He was about to reluctantly give in and abandon all hope of saving her but he watched as she yelled holding on desperately to the floor 

Eddie couldn't watch this go on any longer and let out a yell over the shrieks of the demi-bats, "No!" 

"Come on, come on, come on, you son of a bitch!" He growled to himself as he tried to reach Y/n. The thunder boomed as the vibrations rippled through the ground. Holding onto the floor as the vine pulled even harder on Y/n's leg, coiling around it like a snake, she held her arm out towards Eddie as the throbbing voices in her head refused to leave. It felt as if someone was slowly pushing a screwdriver through her head and pulling her limbs apart. She tried to focus on Eddie and despite her efforts, she couldn't help but let out a cry of pain.

Eddie was thrown back and some of the bats behind him were even shot away from Steve and Robin causing the two to look over to Eddie on the floor and Y/ns panicked face, she clung back onto the floor not wanting to be taken away only for where her hands have been placed the ground surrounding her began to crumble causing her eyes to sharpen taking notice of how the cracks came from where her hands were clinging onto. 

Eddie got back to his feet rushing over to Y/n going to grab her hand.

"Don't touch me!" Her voice cracked as he pulled to a halt, " Now isn't the time to be stubborn."

"I need to try something!" She said as she reached one of her hands down to the vine around her leg only to feel Eddie wrap his arms around her upper body pulling her away from the vine around her leg as the thunder continued to boom. The vine began to slowly lose grip as it retreated slithering under the broken rubble. The sudden release of the vine caused Eddie to fall backwards with Y/n in his arms making her fall on top of him.

"Uh, do you  think these bats have, like, rabies?" Robin asked Steve as Y/n pushed herself off Eddie, her voice raspy and dry, "What, hghm," She coughed having to repeat herself, "What were you doing?"

"Well, it sure looks like I was saving your ass," Eddie said getting annoyed with her lack of gratitude. Steve ignored Robin and jogged over to Y/n wanting to know why the two were giving out to each other, "Whoah, hey! What's the matter with you two?"

Y/n remained silent refusing to look at either of the men. Eddie turned to Steve and said, "Keep out of it Harrington," Before turning to look at the h/c woman, "You are seriously just-"

"Calm the tone there," Steve defensively voiced holding a hand out towards Eddie as if he were trying to tame a dog.  

"Steve this has nothing to do with you, so back your shit up!" He spat bitterly, pulling his hand through his hair out of frustration as he then continued, "You know what, I give up we don't have time for this. Let's just go back to the gate and leave before we get attacked again."
