Lucinda pov
As we entered inside, I looked around to see the interior. It was a very classical oak cabin setting with some modern technology.
Lucinda: Wow, I like your place. At least I can tell you have a sense of style. * smiles *
Alex: Thanks, why don't you sit on the couch and I'll fix up some dinner.
Lucinda: Do you need any help?
Alex: You're the guest. It's my job as the host to serve his guest. * jokingly bowed*
Lucinda: * giggles * Ok, I let you handle it. * sat down *
He may be a dork but a cute dork, I'll admit. I looked around his living room. He has a flat-screen with game consoles, and on the coffee table, in front of me are pictures of him with who I believe is his family.
Lucind: They seem nice.
My curiosity got the better of me and started looking through his shelves of books. Some of them were guides and textbooks on runes of old. I wanted to read some and see how it all works.
Alex: Interested, are we?
I was caught by surprise and accidentally dropped the book and looked to see him smiling while carrying the food.
Lucinda: Geez, don't scare me like that!
Alex: Sorry about that. Anyway, I made us some burgers and fries. I figured you could use some comfort food after today.
Lucinda: Normally, I'd watch my figure, but after what happened, I could go for some comfort food.
We began eating the first couple of minutes. We were just enjoying our meal so I decided to break the ice.
Alex: So you're interested in learning about Runecraft?
Lucinda: A little. I'm just not sure how to even start.
Alex: It depends on what rune you're starting with, and if you like, we can go to my store tomorrow and show you the basics.
Lucinda: Really? Are you sure it's ok?
Alex: Yeah, and I wouldn't mind having someone outside my family to discuss it.
Lucinda: Yeah, it's nice to talk about magic with other people who understand.
After we finished eating, our conversation didn't stick with just magic, but our hobbies, our families, and even our embarrassing screw-ups until it became late at night.
Alex: * checks his phone * Oh wow, it's already thirty minutes past twelve.
Lucinda: I guess we were having too much fun to notice. * smiles *
Alex: I'll sleep on the coach you take my bed.
Lucinda: No way I can't take your bed!
Alex: Again, you're my guest it's only right. I make your stay here more pleasant.
So he showed me to his room, and inside were posters of an anime series called Fate on his walls, a decent size TV and drawers, and a queen sized bed.
Alex: I'll leave you to get settled. Have a good night.
Lucinda: Good night.
I lay in his bed and made myself comfortable. It is strange for me to be in another guy's room that wasn't Ivan's, but I'm grateful to Alex for letting me stay here. I soon fell asleep and waited for tomorrow.

I got up early and started cooking breakfast for the two of us. I decided to go with blueberry muffins with a side of bacon and eggs. I walked to my bedroom and knocked on the door.
Alex: Lucinda, breakfast is ready!
Lucinda: Be out in a minute. I'm getting dressed.
Alex: Alright, I have the food on the table for you.
Lucinda: Thank you.
I returned to the kitchen and waited on Lucinda until she finally came, wearing a raspberry color long sleeved shirt that exposed her shoulders and a frilly white skirt with a pair of black high heel shoes.
Alex: Wow. * face turning red*
Lucinda: * noticed Alex staring and blushing* I'm sorry, is this too much?
Alex: No, you look great. Perfect for an outing.
Lucinda:* blushing * Thanks.
We enjoyed our breakfast together and went to my store and began showing her the ins and outs of how everything works.
Lucinda: Wow, look at all this. I didn't know Runes needed so many kinds of ingredients. * looking around *
Alex: Yeah, I use most of the herbs, minerals, and many other ingredients to create special ink to inscribe runes onto certain rocks.
Lucinda: Couldn't you use common rocks? Why do they need to be specific?
Alex: Each rock has a special property that makes the spells I want to use much more efficient, like if I wanted to do an invisibility spell I would need a clear quartz to make it more stable.
Lucinda: Wow, that's really incredible.
Alex: Even the stave I use is fluent in using spells because it's oak, a very well-balanced wood . * showing the staff*
Lucinda: * looking the stave over* I might need to consider upgrading mine from birch wood.
Alex: I agree now. Let's start with something easy, like purifying water. * walked behind the counter *
Lucinda: Sounds good, what will I need?
I was about to tell her until I had an idea that would help not only expand her knowledge of runes but also create new possibilities the same way I was taught.
Alex: That's what you need to figure out.
Lucinda: Wait, what?!
Alex: I'll be in the back after I get my uniform on and bring some muddy water. * walked in the back*
Lucinda pov
He left me alone to figure out how to purify water, so I needed to think of something. I looked around the store to see what I could use, but there were so many ingredients and only one cup of water to deal with. So the only thing I can do is hope for the best.
