Chapter 4

Alex pov

It had been three months since Lucinda and I started dating and living together. I continued her practice in runecraft and surprisingly we hadn't even seen her boyfriend and we've been living happily but recently I have noticed her seemingly a little down and I have planned to ask her and to see what was wrong. Right now, I was washing dishes after we had lunch while she was watching tv.

Alex: * finished washing and entered the living room * Hey lucinda, can we talk?

Lucinda: Sure, babe, is something wrong?

Alex: I noticed you've been depressed awhile is something wrong?

Lucinda: Sorry, I was looking at some old pictures. * showing me her phone with pictures of her friends during high school*

Alex: You miss them?

Lucinda: Yeah, I miss seeing them. They have always supported me even when I was still with Ivan. * having a sad expression *

I felt bad for her. I didn't have any friends when I was in school, but I do know what it means to miss the people who cared about you. Then I got an idea.

Alex: Hey lucinda, how would you feel about seeing them again?

Lucinda: I'd be thrilled.

Alex: Maybe even moving to where they are? * I give her a smile *

Lucinda: * surprised * Oh my Irene, are you serious! But what about our jobs here and what if they live in a big city?

Alex: Lucinda I don't care if we live in a small town or a big city as long as I'm with you I know I'll manage besides we can move our businesses with us and maybe put them together to become one store how's that? * holding her close *

She gave me her answer in the form of a kiss.

Lucinda: Oh thanks babe I'm going to call my friend Cadenza to find out where they are. last I heard some of my friends are roommates and neighbors.

Alex: Ok, Lucinda, I'll call the movers and get ourselves a car while we're at it.

Lucinda: Perfect, I can't wait, and since it's getting close to Christmas, we'll call this their early Christmas present. * gone to our room to make preparations for the move*

So, I started to make preparations of my own. I plan to have the movers move our things from our home and our stores, and we definitely need a car. Neither of us has one. Before Lucinda and Ivan shared a car before breaking up, and as for me, I had to sell mine to get my store started it was a sacrifice, but it was worth it.

One week later

Lucinda pov

The day finally arrived the movers cleared out our stores and our house we had to clear away the trees using our magic for them to reach us and as excited as I am I did had to make some compromises with Alex especially regarding my potions instead of them being in glass bottles they had to be poured into plastic bottles. But overall, it was a safer choice even though it made them look cheap. Now that everything is now packed, we are ready to set out.

Alex: * finished packing some of the suitcases in the car* That is everything.

Lucinda: I hope the movers are careful with our stuff. * got in the car*

Alex: Relax sweetie, our things have been packed up securely and will be in one piece when we arrive. * also got in the car*

Lucinda: How do you know?

Alex: Just paid them a little extra so they understand better. * starting the car up*

Lucinda: Is that alright?

Alex: Don't worry, everything will be alright.

Lucinda: Ok, I trust you. * kissing his cheek *

Alex pov

During our trip I was curious about her friends. She told me plenty of stories but I never met them so I don't know what to expect.

Alex: Hey Lucinda, tell me what should I expect when I meet your friends. What are they personally like?

Lucinda: Ok sweetie, first there's my friend Slash Rival Katelyn.

Alex: Rival? Rival in what?

Lucinda: Oh, many things we even got caught up in our little competitions. We even turned each other into cats.

Alex: * I laughed * And you two are friends?

Lucinda: Just be careful what you say about her cause if she here's you making fun of her, you will feel her wrath.

Alex: Noted.

Lucinda: Then there's Kawaii~chan.

Alex: Oh right, you told me she's a Meif'wa, and I still can't believe that's her real name.

Lucinda: Yeah, she is sweet, kind, and definitely loves to bake.

Alex: Yeah, I remember you said you two couldn't work together well due to the constant mix-up of cake and potion ingredients.

Lucinda: Yeah, it definitely wasn't fun, especially when you get cake batter in your hair.

Alex: I bet. * I laughed *

Lucinda: Oh, then there is Aphmau, the sweetest girl you'll ever meet.

Alex: What should I expect from her?

Lucinda: She is very kind-hearted, rarely gets angry, and she has been through a lot in high school.

Alex: Who hasn't? * I joked*

Lucinda: True, but she's been blackmailed, bullied, and caught in all manner of situations due to some of our guy friends.

Alex: What kind of situations?

Lucinda: The…romance kind.

She continued to tell me about Aphmau and the more I hear the more she sounds almost like a harem protagonist but she only saw them as friends but there is one that lucinda is sure Aphmau likes and his name is Aaron he was a senior while she was a freshman there wasn't a lot she knows about him but she knows Aphmau likes him. She continued tell me the remaining friends who are neighbors of hers first was Dante he's a nice guy but terrible with ladies, Laurence he is one of the guys who likes aphmau he's nice but obsessed with her and finally Garroth who also likes Aphmau he's nice but a little too strong for his own good especially breaking doors. After learning all this from Lucinda, I wonder how things will change when we reach our new home.
