Chapter 16

Lucinda pov

I was listening to the girls as they talked about their daily lives, love lives and even reminisced about our high school days but while we continued our conversation I felt a slight tug at the hem of my skirt to my right. I looked down to see it was Celestia pulling on me desperately.

Lucinda: Hey Celestia, what's wrong, girl?

She started to bark while running in circles. Aphmau and Aaron came to check the commotion.

Aphmau: Celestia? What's the matter, girl?

Celestia ran to the foot of the stairs while whimpering, and I got a bad feeling.

Aaron: We should probably go check what happened.

I interjected before he could go up.

Lucinda: I'll go up.

Aphmau: Are you sure?

Before I could say anything, Katelyn spoke up.

Katelyn: Don't worry Aph, I'll go up with her to see what's going on.

Lucinda: Thanks, Katelyn.

Katelyn: Yeah, yeah, let's just hurry on up.

We went upstairs following Celestia and to Aphmau's bedroom door. we opened the door and quickly went inside, leaving Celestia outside.What we saw were four cats running around the bedroom showing Alex used the potion. The cat ahead of the other three had black fur and green eyes and I knew immediately that it was Alex while the three cats had blonde, brown and blue fur and it was obvious that it was Garroth, Laurence and Dante and they were not happy with Alex.

Lucinda: Alex, this way!

I got close to the ground and opened my arms for Alex to get into. He rushed to me, and I quickly scooped him up, and now at my feet were three angry cats hissing to make me put Alex down, but then Katelyn knew how to silence people.

Katelyn: Quite!

That got the guys mouth shut.

Katelyn: I can guess what happened here, and I'll make you three a deal. We'll take you back home and help you into your house, but if you refuse to go home and try bothering Aphmau again, I'll send the three of you to the cat lady's house! Do you understand?

They nodded quickly in a panic, hoping that Katelyn wouldn't make good on her promise. Katelyn picked them up, and we carried them downstairs, and as we did, Aphmau saw who we were carrying.

Aphmau: Awww, where did these precious kitties come from?!

They guys started meowing in excitement from Aphmau's attention while Alex watched as if judging them, and I can't blame him.

Katelyn: Aphmau, please don't encourage these three. It's Dante, Garroth, and Laurence.

Aphmau: What?! Then who's the one in Lucinda's arm's.

Lucinda: It's Alex he went upstairs to see what the guys were up to, and whatever happened, he had no choice but to use the cat potion I gave him but ended up becoming a cat as well.

Katelyn: Yeah, so I'll be taking these three back across the street.

Lucinda: And me and I will be heading home.

Aphmau: Awww, sorry to see you go home.

Lucinda: Don't worry, Aphmau just set up hang out time, and I'm on my way.

Dante started meowing in agitation, soon joined by Garroth and Laurence.

Lucinda: Calm down, the potion will wear off in the morning.

Aphmau: Okay, you and Alex, have a good night.

Lucinda: Thanks, we will.

Both me and Katelyn exited Aphmau's house and went our separate ways. As we finally made it back home at 11:30pm we went inside. I sat Alex down and grabbed my staff from our hallway closet and casted the translation spell on Alex.

Lucinda: Alex, are you ok?

He looked up at me a moment until he finally spoke.

Alex: Aside from me being turned into a cat and being chased by Dante, Garroth, and Laurence. I have no complaints.

Lucinda: Sorry we had to leave early.

Alex: No worries, I was able to meet all your friends and might go to Aaron's to see if he wants to hang out from time to time.

Lucinda: * giggles * Thanks, Alex.

I bent down and started scratching under Alex's chin and…he started purring, closing his eyes in a relaxed manner.

Lucinda: Wow, I didn't know you could pur like that.

I smiled as I teased him. His eyes widened and straightened up, looking like a cat doll. If I didn't know better, I would think he was blushing underneath that fur.

Alex: You tell…no one what just happened.

Lucinda: Awww, why can't I brag about how my boyfriend makes a great kitty?

Alex: Lucy, please.

Lucinda: * giggled * Ok, I won't. Now, how about I change you back to normal.

Alex: Wait, I thought you said the potion lasts until morning?

Lucinda: It does. * smirks* unless your girlfriend is a witch.

Alex: Oh, you are clever.

Lucinda: Thanks. I tried, and they did deserve it.

Alex: True.

Lucinda: Now hold still for me.

I used my staff once again and returned Alex to normal. After we hugged and kissed, we headed to our room to change and prepare ourselves for bed. Even though me and Alex had to leave I'm glad that Alex met more of my friends and soon we'll be meeting both of our parents and all I had on my before falling asleep is what will happen.
