Chapter 6

Alex pov

After meeting with Dante,Laurence, and Garroth, I could only wonder what awaited me at the house across the street, which was a two stories bage house with a garage to the left.

Lucinda: Don't worry, babe. Katelyn isn't that bad. Just don't mention the dye.

Alex: Got it.

We reached the house, and Lucinda knocked on the door first.

???: Yeah, I'm coming, give me a second!

We waited until the door opened, and there stood a girl with turquoise blue eyes and pastel blue hair that partially draped over her right shoulder wearing a white and beige long sleeved shirt and light brown shorts. This was none other than Katelyn.

Lucinda: Hey Katelyn. It's been a while, hasn't it?

Katelyn: What?! Lucinda, you're here? when?

Lucinda: Oh, not long we just got here. * giggles *

Alex: Nice to meet you. I'm Alex Greenleaf. I'm Lucinda's boyfriend. * offering her a hand shake *

Katelyn: Wait, boyfriend? What happened to Ivan?

Lucinda: Long story. Anyway, are Aphmau and Kawaii~chan here?

Katelyn: Not right now they're out shopping, but you can come in if you want.

Alex: That sounds great, thanks.

Katelyn: No problem.

We entered inside the living room and as we did we heard barking coming from upstairs and it started getting louder as it started coming down and when it did it was a small blue and white fur Siberian Husky puppy and it had blue eyes.

Alex: Well, now, who are you? * kneeled down and pet the top of its head*

Katelyn: That's Celestia. She's Aph's dog.

Lucinda: Oh, how precious.

Alex: Celestia? Wait, did Aphmau get…

Before I could ask, Katelyn stopped me.

Katelyn: Please don't ask, I still regret not stopping her.

I already knew the answer, and after hearing Lucinda tell me the kind of person she is so I can't really blame her for not liking the name.

Lucinda: Hey Alex, I'll be right back. I need to use the restroom.

Alex: Sure, go ahead babe me and Katelyn will wait for you.

Lucinda: Thanks. * kissing my cheek* Katelyn, can you show me where it is?

Katelyn: There's one in the hall.

Lucinda: Thanks be right back. * she went to the restroom*

As Lucinda left me and Katelyn alone we both sat on both ends of the couch, and it got awkward without Lucinda around, so I made the first move to start a conversation.

Alex: So…What would you like to talk about?

Instead of getting a casual answer from her, she brought up a question that's been on her mind since Lucinda and I arrived.

Katelyn: What happened…with her and Ivan? * looking towards me with curious concern *

Alex: * sighed * So that's it. Look, that's something Lucinda should tell you herself, not me.

Katelyn: Alex, please, if something happened to my friend, I have a right to know she's my best friend.

At first, I was about to say no to her, but looking at her, she was giving me a pleading look, showing how much she's worried about Lucinda.

Alex: Ok…I'll tell you.

So I told Katelyn everything that happened with Lucinda how she came home earlier to surprise Ivan only to find another woman in bed with him resulting in Ivan trying to explain himself and her leaving him after telling Katelyn what happened it resulted in only one thing.

Katelyn: Oh my Irene, where is he now?! I want to give him a piece of my mind!!

Absolutely furious.

Alex: Katelyn, calm down. You can't just go after Ivan. What's done is done!

Katelyn: I can't just ignore what he did, and after all the times they were together, he threw it all away like that!

Alex: I know, but Lucinda is okay now she moved on from him and…she has me now. * blushing *

Katelyn: * she let a deep breath to calm herself down * You're right. At least she ended up with you.

I smiled with relief.

Katelyn: So how did you two meet anyway?

Alex: Well it happened shortly after I got off work I was going down the street until I saw her sitting on a bench alone with nothing but suitcase and a sad look on her face when I asked what was wrong she was reluctant on telling me a stranger her problems luckily however I convinced her to tell me what happened then I offered her to stay at my old place.

Katelyn: Your old place, huh? * eyeing me suspiciously *

Alex: * let out a sigh* I know that look, and no, I didn't try anything on her. Give me some credit. I have more respect than that.

Katelyn: Okay, sorry, I just wanted to be sure. So what happened after you took her in?

I continued to tell her everything that happened as we talked about ourselves and promised to teach her a little of my Rune magic to her at my store which led to me asking Lucinda if she wanted to try going out with me.

Alex: And after that we've been together ever since.

Katelyn: So how long has it been?

Alex: Three months and…I couldn't be any happier. * I smiled *

Katelyn just smiled at me and said.

Katelyn: Ok, I approve.

Alex: What?

Katelyn: I said I approve of you two going out.

Alex: What are you, her mother? * I joked *

Katelyn: No…just someone who cares for their friend, so please take care of her, ok?

Alex: I promise Katelyn, you have nothing to worry about.

I extended my right hand to her for a hand shake, and Katelyn took, and we shook on it, showing a start of a new friendship.
