Lucinda pov

I started to wake up  and see Alex still holding onto me. We needed a little tlc from what happened yesterday, but as much as I wanted us to both stay like this, we have to open our new store today, and we can't be late. I lifted myself up and escaped Alex's grip and checked to see if the time was 7:00 am. The first thing I had to do was wake Alex up, and the way I'll do it was by teasing him awake.

Lucinda: Oh, Alex, it's time to get up. * pushing his nose*

Alex: * mumbling * five more minutes.

He wrapped himself up tightly with the blanket. So I tried getting out with food.

Lucinda: Alex, I'm about to make pancakes.

Alex: * mumbling * Pancakes?

Lucinda: Yep and with bacon, eggs, and toast.

He started sitting up and looked at me with a smile on his face.

Alex: You know there was another way to get me up.

Lucinda: Oh, and how's that?

Alex: A kiss good morning.

Lucinda: * blushing * Oh my Irene Alex.

Alex: It's not my fault you didn't think of that first. * he teased*

Lucinda: * giggles * Alright, good point.

I leaned in and gave him a kiss on the lips.

Alex: There, now I'll get up.

Lucinda: Good, I'm going to take a shower in the master bathroom.

Alex: And I'll use the one in the hallway.

We both gathered our work clothes and went to our separate bathrooms to get ready. A couple minutes passed and we had finished freshening up for the day and exited the bedroom I was wearing my black bow, black and white sweater, white socks and black boots and when Alex came out of the hallway bathroom he was wearing his robes he said it was from a character from an anime he'd seen and the way it showed off his abs is really hard to ignore so I had to quickly straighten up if he saw me staring he'll have a way to tease me.

Alex: * noticed me staring * Is something wrong, Lucinda?

Lucinda: * blushing * O-Oh no nothing at all! Let's hurry and get our breakfast.

Alex: Ok, Lucy.

Normally we would fix our breakfasts by hand but to save time getting to work I used my magic to quickly whip up the breakfast I had promised Alex and after finishing quickly we went to the car and drove to our new business.

Alex pov

Me and Lucinda were both excited about a new town, new location, and a new store for both of us. It was about a forty-five minute drive from our place. As we reached our store, it looked exactly how the building looked in the documents we were given. It was a single story building the same size as our stores. Its  color was an oak brown. All it needed was a sign. We parked by the sidewalk and got out of the car with our staves in hand.

Lucinda: Now, to name our new shop.

She lifted her staff and created our sign, and it spelled out our store in white cursive writing with glowing blue runes circling it.

Lucinda: How's that?

Alex: It looks amazing now. Let's set up a shop!

Lucinda pov

We quickly set up the store thanks to our magic. Alex began setting up runes in various areas around our shop while I organized everything. It didn't take long for us to finally have things settled. For the first two hours, it was slow. Five people came in, but they were only looking around, unsure about our work. We would tell them if they aren't sure about buying anything today, take their time and after that they leave our store. It was soon getting close to break time, and I had to ask Alex something important.

Lucinda: So much for a grand opening, huh?

Alex: Hey, it's alright. You have to remember it's our first day here and stores like ours take time to grow and believe me, I know.

Lucinda: * giggles * Yeah, you're right.

Alex: Good, now I'll go get us some lunch. * about to head for the door.

Lucinda: Wait Alex there's…something I want to ask you.

Alex: What's the matter?  You seem…nervous.

Lucinda: Yes well…will it be alright that I invite my parents over for Christmas?

Alex: Well, of course you can. I'm inviting my family over as well. But why are you asking me?

Lucinda: Well, I'm worried that things might be a little tense…when my mom shows up.

He looked at me with his green eyes looking deeply into me.

Alex: Lucinda, what happened?

Lucinda: You remember how we met and about my breakup with Ivan?

Alex: Yes? Why?

Lucinda: Well, I may have told them about everything that happened between us…a month late.

Alex: * looking surprised * Really Lucinda?

Lucinda: I know I got so caught up in our happiness that calling my parents slipped my mind.

Alex: What did they say?

Lucinda: Dad threatened to hunt down Ivan and make him pay for what he did, but when I told him about you, he was happy and couldn't wait to meet you.

Alex: And your mother?

Lucinda: * sighs * I couldn't tell after I told her everything. All she said was alright and told me to call her to invite them over.

Alex: And I'm guessing you've been slightly worried about what she said and why she said it.

Lucinda: Yeah, and I'm not sure what could be going on in her head.

I started contemplating on it until Alex wrapped his arms around me. Comforting me.

Alex: Don't worry, we'll figure it out when she comes over on Christmas.

I could help but smile and be glad I have him in my life as I hugged him back.
