Alex pov

I went over to a Chick fil a and ordered us both simple chicken sandwich combos and hurried back to the store. As I returned, me and Lucinda settled in our lounge room. It was equipped with a fully functional kitchen and a small living room with two brown couches, a TV, and a single coffee table. Luckily, after years of my use of my runecraft to serve the people, I was able to afford it.

Lucinda: It still amazes me how you can pay for all this.

Alex: Well, you can thank my runic lifestyle for that. Now then, let's eat.

Me and Lucinda sat on the couch she laid against my left side as I took out our lunches.

Alex: Thank Irene for the food.

Lucinda: Thank Irene for the food.

We both took out our lunches and were about to until my phone interrupted us.

Lucinda: Who could that be?

Alex: Let's see.

I looked at my phone and it was a number I didn't recognize so I answered to see who it was.

Alex: Hello?

Garroth: (Hello, is this Alex?)

Alex: Garroth?! How did you get my number?

Lucinda: I shared your number with Katelyn, and she must've shared it with our friends.

Alex: I see. * Switch my phone to speaker *

Garroth: (Are you still there? I need yours and Lucinda’s help!)

Lucinda: What's going on?

Garroth: (I need your help looking for Sprinkles!)

We looked at each other confused.

Alex: Uh, Garroth, who is Sprinkles?

Garroth: (She is the most beautiful cat!)

Lucinda: A…cat.

Alex: Garroth, we'd like to help, but I'm sure there are other cats out there.

Garroth: ( None like Sprinkles she has a beautiful coat of purple fur and an adorable Christmas sweater on).

We both paused when he described the cat to us.

Lucinda: Garroth, did you say…a purple cat?""

Garroth: ( Yes, I did, and it's all natural, no paint, no dye, nothing.)

We looked at each other and nodded in an unsaid agreement.

Alex: Don't worry, Garroth, we will find Sprinkles for you.

Garroth: (Oh, thank you! Me, Laurence, and Dante will go into town to look for her. Can you two come here and wait and see if Sprinkles heads back?)

Lucinda: Sure…no problem.

Garroth: (Thanks gotta get going bye!)

Garroth hung up now, allowing us to speak our thoughts on this situation.

Alex: I think we can both agree that this might not be a normal cat.

Lucinda: Agreed it could belong to Reese, but Garroth didn't mention any kind of identification.

Alex: Right, but if this cat is magical or cursed, we better go find it.

Lucinda: * sighs * Meaning…we're going have to close early aren't we?

Alex: Yep, unfortunately.

Lucinda: So much for a grand opening. * disappointed *

Alex: It'll be okay now. Let's get going and find that cat.
