Chapter Ten

Daria Jackson

As Deyjah and I stood outside, I finally calmed tf down. I told her everything that happened.

She was just so shock by the situation. I stopped talking when she looked behind me. I turned. There was Lili. Standing there with her arms crossed her chest.

I faced her looking at her. "What you want" I sounded irritated. And I didn't really care.

She just laughed in my face walking off. I was about to snatch her up. But, Deyjah stopped me. "Yo, you need to keep your distance away from her. What is she actually trying to do" she said.

"She's saying that Devon is the father of her kids and is also trying to blame him for the raped of some girl she knew".

I rubbed the back of my neck. Lili is fucking with the wrong person. If she actually believe this shit is real.

I'm actually starting believe my brother had no part in this situation. I think she's trying to set up my brother for something. I don't know but, I'm going to find out.

I went to Byron's house afterwards instead of going home. My mom was mad about something. I'm not going to be around when she pops off.

I walked up to the door knocking. I heard shuffling going around. Before By opened the door. He was in basketball shorts. And look like he just woke up.

"Sorry, did I wake you" I said. He kissed my lips.

"Nope" he still sounded sleepy.

"Mm" I walked in as he closed the door. I sat down when he pulled me towards him.

"What's on your mind, baby" he looked down at me playing with my hair.

I didn't know how to tell him. What the fuck I'm about to do?

I just took a deep breath. I'd prepare myself before telling him everything. I had to plan my next move before it got too serious. I just didn't know what to do next.

After I told him, he looked at me crazy. I knew what he was about to say. I could feel it in my spirit. His words always make me feel some type of way.

"I ain't got any words for that. That's just straight foul" he said with his deep southern accent. I rarely hear his accent but, when I did, he really be talking the truth.

"I know" I said calmly. "I just don't know what to do now" I simply say.

Byron pulled me even closer towards him rubbing my back. "I know you, babe. You'll think of something that'll be helpful" he said leaning down kissing my forehead.

I could only imagine of what's going to happen now. I laid there in Byron's arms. I'd slowly drifted myself to sleep, thinking.
