I knew he was gonna hurt me. I knew just some shit was going to happen if I didn't show up.

Dez was running some errands. I sat in his car waiting. I was so nerve wrecking and scared.

I didn't hear him come back in the car. He tapped my shoulder looking at me

"Huh" I said. He started up the car turning back to me.

"You alright" he asked softly.

"Yeah" my leg started shaking again. I bite my nails nervously.

"You don't look like it" he sped off going in the opposite direction I needed to go.

We were walking through the store. I don't know why, through. He stopped walking.

"Seriously" he said in confusion.

"What" I scolded him.

"Are you okay" he said throwing his hands up in surrender.

"You been looking around like someone is going to hurt you" he told me.

"I'm fine" I lied. I wasn't okay. He was lurking around.

"Okay" he picked up a bag of chips walking off. The moment Dez turned the corner.

I stood there in fear. I heard whistling. It was his. I got so scared hoping Dez would come back.

"Where you been, Raey" he walked up behind me.

"I was on my way" I told him.

"Sure" he snapped at me. "Don't do anything stupid" he had me cornered placing his hands on the shelves. "I know where to find our son" his eyes scared me. They had that sadistic look in them. He rubbed my cheek, walking away smirking at me.

I felt tears go down my face to my lips. They were salty. I wiped them looking up. Dez was back and staring at me.

"What's wrong" he looked confused. I saw him walk past the aisle. "Who's that" Dez asked me.

"Can we go please" I told him.

"Yeah" I followed him to the check out area. I got chills down my back just running into him.

Once we were back in his car. He turned facing me. "We not moving until you tell me what's wrong" I sighed looking out the window. I can't tell him. I don't know what he's going to do Dez if I do.

"I have to pick up my son" I said softly.

"Where to" I told him where to go and he pulled off.

When we pulled up at my mom's, my mom was outside taking the trash out. "Hey mom" I said walking up.

"Hello" she looked behind me. "And this is" she asked.

"A friend" I told her.

"Oh, well Tej is inside eating" she said.

"Okay" I walked inside with Dez following me.

"Mommy" Tej ran into my legs smiling at me. "I saw daddy today" he walked back to the table eating his chicken nuggets.

"What" I asked him.

"Yeah but nana took me inside before he came over to me" I walked into the kitchen getting a water. Dez leaned up against the wall. Tej made a face looking at me.

"Who's this" I sat next to him taking a nugget.

"A friend of mine" he finished eating getting up.

"Oh" he said. "Hi" he told Dez before he went in the living room.

"Sup little man" Dez said. I rubbed my face in my hands. I felt someone rub my back. I looked up. It was Dez. I guess he can see the fear in my eyes.

"Why do you mess with him?" my mom came storming in. I looked at her. "Next time he comes, I'm finna kill his ass" she scolded me. I sighed getting up.

"Tej, let's go" he hugged my mom grabbing his book bag. I knew Dez was going to be asking me tons of questions. I said bye walking out to Dez's car.

My life isn't getting any better. Not with a crazy sadistic ass baby daddy in it.
