THE SMALL wisps of wind flew through the town and tickled the pedestrians passing by, small clouds were dotted in the sky, slowly waiting to unleash a heavy mass of rain.

The giggles and laughter of teenagers filtered into the school's corridors, leaving no corner untouched, while heels echoed throughout the school as teachers with textbooks, and clipboards rushed around to their classrooms.

Some students stood by their lockers in deep conversation with their friends, while others slipped to the toilet to skip their first period, and some were even already in their classrooms before the teacher, ready for the day.

Liliya was none of these students, instead, she was still in her bedroom picking out an outfit. She ended up waking up late, like usual, and instead took her sweet time getting ready. She was going to be late anyways, so why not take her time?

She laid out the different outfits in front of her, she hummed in concentration for a moment before settling on a yellow-tied shirt and high-waisted jeans. She stuffed the other outfits into her wardrobe and slowly got dressed before doing her makeup and hair, which took about an hour or two.

Liliya took one final look at herself in the mirror before grabbing her bag from the floor and walking downstairs, both her parents were out at work so she could either sit around all day and not go to school, or she could force herself to school.

As much as Liliya loved the sound of the first option the practical side of her said she needed to go to school. The girl sighed and opened her front door, a satisfying click was heard as the girl closed it behind her. She slung the strap of the bag over her shoulder and began walking to school.

When the redhead got there, the hallways were quiet and scarce, and the slight sound of Liliya walking bounced off the walls as she quickly made it to her locker.

She slid in her combination and slowly opened it, she stuffed her bag into her locker before snatching out her maths textbook.

She slammed the locker door closed harder than she intended and began walking to maths. There were only three periods left of the day and they were double maths and a free period, she slowly opened the door and the teacher turned around and stared at the girl.

"Glad you could finally join us, Ms May." He spoke, empasizing finally, Liliya threw her hands up in the air, her textbook still in them. "Sorry sorry!" She spoke quickly before rushing over to her seat next to Billy.

Billy turned to her and she sent him a small smile, to which he quickly responded with a bigger grin. Liliya turned to the page they were on in the textbook, oblivious to Billy's internal thoughts.
