THE DAY FELT LONG as the spring air pushed the students out of their restless thoughts, the constant nagging at homework and upcoming tests from teachers slowly chipped away at them.

The only reason the students hadn't dropped right then and there was the small buzz of excitement for the upcoming baseball game, only a few more hours to go and nearly every student would be packed into the stands.

Liliya rarely went to the baseball games, she only went if it was a big match for Bruce, most of the time she'd just listen to the boy talk about it in science the next day instead of going in person.

She wasn't a fan of sports, the only reason she knew the very basic rules of baseball was because of Bruce.

Liliya clicked her pen against her history textbook, a long sigh escaped her lips as she glanced up at the clock, only a few more hours and then she could go home.

She heard the rustling of students behind her but she paid no mind to it.

A small tap on her shoulder caused her to drop her pen and spin her head around, a boy held a folded piece of paper in his hands as he handed it to her, before going back to his work.

Liliya raised an eyebrow, she turned her head to be met with the expectant face of Billy Showalter.

She raised an eyebrow and unfolded the small note, the familiar neat handwriting read;

'Could you come to my game tonight?'

Liliya looked up and stared at the boy, he made a notion as to unfold it even further, which is what she did.

She unfolded it again, another piece of writing scribbled on, 'ps. bring my helmet, I need it for the game.'

A small smile tugged at the corners of the girl's lips, she made eye contact with Billy once again and shrugged. He quietly clasped his hands together and shook them slightly, mouthing a please.

Once again, the redhead shrugged, she tucked the note into her jean pocket and faced the front, not turning back the boy for the rest of the lesson.

LILIYA STOOD NEXT TO her locker, her history textbook in her hands as she neatly slid her other notebooks and pens into their designated areas.

She felt a tap on her shoulder, making the girl jump ever-so-slightly, she sighed and slid the history textbook inside with the rest of her equipment and closed the locker door before leaning against it.

She looked at the boy in front of her, he had a smile on his face, "please come to my game," the boy spoke, Liliya raised her eyebrows and pretended to think.
