As they kept on walking, Luz felt a little guilt in her heart and went back to Boscha.

She looked at her pitifully and sighed at herself.

"Curse me for being such a nice person."

She healed every single part of her body, and Luz carried her to the nurse's office.

But a certain someone noticed them, and felt a tint of jealousy in her heart.

...

Boscha woke up minutes later and looked around, wondering how she had gotten to the nurse's office. When she looked at her right, she saw Luz, cleaning blood from her hands.

"You're awake? Thank God. Being around you is mentally draining."

Boscha tried to attack her but she held her hand.

"I saved you from death, and I don't receive a single 'thank you'? You're such an ungrateful-"

Then Boscha cut her off.

"Saved me? You killed me. This is going to have a huge mark on my social reputation, so as for my family. People will look down on me."

She looked away in pain and Luz gave a side-frown. Luz may not understand, but it seemed to her that her family was already going through a lot.

Luz apologised but Boscha didn't give a care in the world. The hatred this girl had for Luz was already more than enough, she even felt like choking her to death at that very moment.

"Well, I'm leaving."

Luz stood up and left. As soon as she closed the door, she saw Amity.

"Amity? What are you doing here?"

Amity folded her arms and furrowed her eyebrows. Luz was perplexed and started to look at her.

"I saw you carrying Boscha to the nurse's office? What was that for?"

Luz raised an eyebrow and started to laugh. She held Amity's chin and looked deep into her eyes.

"Perhaps... You're jealous?"

Amity blushed and removed Luz's hand from her chin and looked away immediately, refusing to be wrapped around Luz's fingers.

"Besides, I won't mind if you were jealous. I like you too myself."

Amity didn't hear her right and asked if what she heard was what Luz said.

"I didn't say anything!" Luz put her hands behind her back and started to walk to class but Amity kept on pestering her.

...

After the whole incident, Luz went to speak with Zander immediately, relating to the deal they had before.

Zander already heard her footsteps despite they were so many people where they both were. He dropped his books on the table closest to him and held his hands together, praying to Titan for the best.

"Hello, Zander. I'm sure you know why I'm here?"

Zander nodded and Luz sat down.

"So what exactly do you know? Speak."

She held a paper and pen, and started to tap her finger on the table, waiting for Zander's response.

"You don't know anything? Come on, speak up. I won't bite."

He tried to speak, but he couldn't articulate anything with his mouth. He calmed down, and started to speak.

"Everyone in the Boiling Isles is pure evil. There's no day that they won't be a breaking news about some unfortunate event happening."

"It's always an important person in the society getting murdered, criminals doing a big money heist, or a witch in the Emperor's coven going against the Emperor himself, Belos."

Luz immediately got interested more in this Belos. Who was he exactly? A human in the Isles? A witch going to cause chaos? A man going to take advantage of his power? She wanted to know, and she needed to know.

"Tell me more about this Belos man, could you?"

Zander cleared his throat and started.

"People have described him as a kind, wholesome and powerful Emperor. One that could just snap his finger and the Boiling Isles could disappear in a nanosecond."

"Disappear? Surely, that's mere exaggeration. Those people are being delusional."

"My father has seen him and described to me what he was. He was extremely tall, and just his aura could make someone feel inferior. His voice was deep and some women would say that his accent was mesmerising, melodic to the ears."

"He also told me that his magic is strong. Extremely. Maybe even stronger than everyone's magic combined in this academy."

"People aim to be in the Emperor's Coven than the other's coven. They would want to gain power and take advantage of it."

Luz gave a side frown and looked at him in the eyes.

"This whole thing... There's really nothing good about the Boiling Isles?"

Zander shook his head and sighed, shaking his head once again, but in total disappointment.

"Sometimes, I wish that I wasn't born here. You humans look like you enjoy a lot, I wish I was born in your realm."

"By saying that, I doubt you're even a human yourself. You're a monster, no human existed and existing can use magic but you surprised me."

Luz looked away, covering her mouth with her hand in a thinking expression.

But Zander wasn't lying.

"I'm not fit to be a human. I prefer being this monster I'm currently am. It's better than being a sinner at least."

Luz stood up and started to walk.

"Where are you going!?" Zander screamed at Luz and she looked at him.

"Somewhere. I hope you'll continue to give me more valuable information in the future."

Luz winked at him and immediately he blinked, she was gone.

...

"What else did I need to do?"

As she walked on the hallway, Anna and Zack suddenly appeared to hear. They were breathing heavily and had an appalling face.

"What happened to you two? Did you see something that you needed to tell me quickly?"

Anna breathed in and out and looked at Luz.

"Him... H-he's here!"

"Who exactly are you tal-"

"Max! Your younger brother."

Luz gave a big sigh of disappointment. She asked for where he was and they both took her to where her younger brother was.

"And then she said-"

Max noticed his older sister and immediately hugged her.

"I missed you so much! Do you know I've been searching universes and realms for you!?"

"Oh, I'm sorry about that. Did He send you here to help me?"

Max nodded and she patted his head with so much affection. People even awwed at the sibling love that they were seeing and Luz immediately shifted back.

"But Max, I don't think you're meant to be here, it would be better for you to just go-"

Before she could finish her sentence, a fool had screamed her name. The girl was wobbling as she walked, still traumatised by what had happened to her before.

"Of all people."

Luz looked at Boscha who pointed at her and Luz put her hand down.

"Did your parents not tell you that pointing at others is insulting?"

"Especially to the ones who have a higher class than you?"
