Chapter 30.

"Oh, how much I've missed you, my dear!"

Luz removed herself from him and looked at him from head to toe. This was her father, that she heard from both God and the red Devil that had died due to her mother's Holy Sword.

"How-?"

Before she knew it, he put his hand over her shoulder telling her to relax.

Luz held his hand and threw him to the floor.

She cast a magic spell to hold both his hands and legs, she even covered his mouth.

"You owe us an explanation."

He nodded his head and Luz used magic to make him float and follow her back to the house.

...

"Luz, you're finally back!"

Luz acted tough but immediately she took 5 steps into that house, she fell down in pain. She used some magic, which affected her greatly.

Max saw the man that was inside the house and he covered his mouth in shock.

"F-father?"

Luz's pain removed the magic that was used to "arrest" him and he stood up.

"Oh. You're..."

He tried to remember and Max reminded him.

"I-it's Max! Your son, Luz's younger brother!"

He tapped his chin, still trying to recover the memories.

"Oh! The child I hid from Camila so she wouldn't divorce me."

His eyes widened, also Anna and Zack's.

"W-what?"

The high ranked demon laughed and cleaned his tears of laughter.

"Ah, memories. You know, you're not really Luz's younger brother. You see, I kind of cheated on your legit mother cause she was so boring!"

"You aren't really wrong anyway. I'm your father, but you have another mother, same for Luz over there."

He pointed at her as she groaned in pain, unable to even understand what was going on.

Max looked down and squeezed his hands in pain.

Anna and Zack looked at each other and looked at them.

"Lock him up."

"Use all your magic to make a way to lock him up somewhere."

Max said in a stern and deep tone about to cry. Anna and Zack frowned and held both of his hands and went upstairs.

"Hey, hey, hey, wait a minute!"

"My daughter's in pain, can't she at least be healed?"

Anna rolled her eyes.

He unhanded himself and went to Luz.

"No healing can work, old ma-"

"Done. All she needs to do is to sleep for an hour or two and she'll be alright."

"What were you saying?"

Anna looked at him and sighed.

They went upstairs and Max fell on the  couch. He put his hands on his face and started to cry.

All he knew was a lie. He never truly knew anything but what he was always told was a lie.

He was deceived.

...

Some hours later, Luz woke up and saw she was on the floor.

Max was on the couch, laying down and sleeping, as there was dried tears close to his eyes.

She woke up to see the windows and doors were locked and she sighed.

She shuffled her hair and noticed that everywhere was quiet.

"What's there to do...?"

She left the house and went to Amity's house.

She knocked on Amity's window and she turned.

Luz waved through the window and Amity stood up. She opened it and she went to see her.

"What do you want, Luz?"

Luz folded her legs as she was still floating and Amity rested her hands somewhere, looking at the night sky.

"Can we at least talk?"

Luz said with a soft tone and Amity nodded.

Amity started first.

"I'm sorry, Luz. I don't know what came over me to just have started insulting you."

"I understand that you've been going through a lot and I know it was mean of me to just tell you to do your job and leave this realm..."

Luz gave a big sigh and looked at her.

"If I should be very honest with you, you were very wrong in all parts to insult me like that."

"I also apologize for telling you mean things back. I was just very frustrated and angry and let my anger out on you."

"I have a lot of things on my plate and even if I asked you to help me out, it would surpass your capabilities."

Amity stared at the stars, admiring how beautiful they were.

"I'm really sorry."

They said at the same time and they laughed at each other.

Luz stopped floating and came down slowly to go to Amity.

They were very close to each other, as they eyes looked at the night sky, the stars. It was extremely beautiful and everywhere was very quiet.

"I like this very much. Just you and I, staying here together, looking at the stars..."

Amity blushed a little and she looked at Luz.

Luz looked at her back.

Luz slowly put her hand on Amity's cheek.

"The stars are really beautiful tonight."

Amity said while looking at Luz and Luz smiled.

"Just like you."

She went in for a slow kiss and they both closed their eyes, enjoying the moment right before them.

Amity shifted back and Luz looked at her.

"You're a real sweetheart, y'know."

Amity giggled and held her hand.

"I know."

...

Finally, it was morning. Luz had slept over Amity's place and Luz woke up first.

"Ah!"

She stretched and looked at Amity.

She adjusted her hair and kissed her forehead.

Amity's eyes opened and she saw Luz standing, getting ready to leave.

"Are you getting ready for school?"

Luz shook her head.

"I'm not going to school anymore. I have things to focus on."

Amity frowned and Luz smiled.

"I'll talk to you later, alright?"

Amity nodded and Luz teleported back to her house.

She saw nobody in the living room, but she heard a noise coming from upstairs.

She went to a spare room and opened it. She saw Anna, Zack, Max and her father in there.

"What happened?"

Luz asked and her father laughed.

"All of them are weak! Don't tell me that the red Devil sent these little kids to do this mission with you?"

He kept on laughing and Luz saw Anna on the floor.

"Why!?"

He stopped laughing and he looked at Luz.

"Cause she's an angel, what else?"
