Chapter 25.

"Amity?"

She heard someone call her name and she looked left and right until she saw Luz. She was how she was staring at her and Amity blushed and looked away.

"No wait!"

Luz ran and slid, immediately appearing right in front of her.

"Are you upset? I'm sorry for just leaving you like that. Are you feeling better now?"

"Why do you even care? You should just go to class and leave me alone!"

Amity looked at her with disgust and walked away.

"Oh. So this is how it feels to be pained emotionally like this."

Luz looked at the ceiling and squeezed her hand in total pain and sighed. She adjusted her bag once again and went to class as the bell rang.

...

Finally, it was Abomination class. Luz went to the class early and saw only Amity in her usual seat.

Amity saw her and looked away, as she was flushed and started blushing. Luz scratched the back of her hair and looked at Amity.

Other people started coming in and she sat beside Zander.

"Why exactly are you sitting beside me? Don't you sit beside that wretched, atrocious, an-"

Then Luz held his shirt.

"Don't you dare finish that sentence."

"Alright, sorry, sorry."

Luz stopped holding his shirt and rested her chin on the table. Zander tapped Luz and also rested his chin on the table.

"You've got feelings for Amity, don't you?"

Luz looked at him and turned back.

"Why do you ask?"

"You've beat me up continuously and almost killed me numerous times because of her. We've got a deal and-"

"That deal is meant to be done, only Titan knows why you're bothering me about something else."

"C'mon, can't I just ask a question?"

"When did you start to get friendly? Are you plotting something against me?"

Zander laughed and Luz slowly shifted away from him immediately. She didn't dare want to have a conversation with this boy again. Would it be too much to ask for just to talk to her?

Luz stood up and excused herself.

Amity saw her walking out and felt bad a little. She also excused herself and immediately went to the hall. She looked left and right but Luz was nowhere to be found.

Until she heard someone humming with a soft voice.

She walked towards where the voice was coming from and to her surprise, it was coming from outside the school.

She opened the doors and saw Luz holding a small rock with her two hands, as she hummed softly, looking at the narrow path in front of her.

"What are you doing here, Blight?"

"She didn't call me Amity.."

Amity folded her arms and looked at Luz.

"You should really head back to class."

Amity rolled her eyes and Luz turned to look at her and turned back.

"Why do you even care?"

Luz scoffed and threw the rock up and down. She stopped and gathered small of her strength, and threw the rock onto a tree and there was a small hole on the tree.

"You know, if you're giving me this attitude, you might as well just get to do your freaking job and leave this whole realm."

Luz held her hand extremely tight and stood up immediately with anger in her heart. She never felt like this, and she didn't want to but it was weird, peculiar, for her to feel like this.

"I should get to do my fucking job and leave this whole shithole? You don't need to tell me twice."

"I've been nice towards you and this is what I get?" Amity said and rolled her eyes and turned away in anger.

Luz scattered her own hair in frustration and total anger. She couldn't beat this whole annoying thing anymore, it was suffocating to deal with.

"What the actual fuck? Since this whole story started, when have you ever helped me?"

"I helped you when your parents had their own shit to deal with, which I also end the misery of your own abuse from your mother. Not only that, I helped you with your cold and I even had a mission. I left that mission for you, Amity. Is a simple "thank you" that too much to ask for?"

Amity stood there flabbergasted and speechless. Her body started to shake because of how horrifying and scary Luz was sounding. She heard how Luz's voice was sounding, the pain in it, but Amity Blight still needed to stand her own ground.

"I didn't ask for your help, Noceda!"

Luz was taken aback and her eyes were slowly changing colour because of how angry she was. Tears almost fell from her eyes and she gave Amity a deadly glare.

"Amity... Don't you understand I have my own shit to deal with too?"

Luz started crying and sniffing. Why would the person she loved most like this do her dirty? Did Amity just agree to be ignorant and not understand what Luz was going through?

"I basically know all the things you've been through."

Luz sniffed and continued to cry more.

"Do you know how difficult it is to kill people, innocent people almost from a very young age and living with that memory?"

"Do you know what it feels like for your parents to kill each other at war!?"

Amity shifted back and realised what she did was wrong but no. Amity Blight continued to be ignorant and follow and still support her own irrational statements.

"You don't know the pain, the amount of trauma I've gone through. I've tried my very best to help you in every single way I can and this is how you treat me? I can swear right here, right now that ever since I came into your life, it changed drastically."

Luz didn't lie at all. Ever since she came into the Blight's life, it really changed. Amity Blight used to live in solitude and never even heard the word "emotion" before, until Luz came into her life.

Funny how someone who doesn't even know emotion and kills gave someone emotion and even made her fall in love.

"Its cool. I might as well just go do my job and leave this realm, yeah? You ungrateful piece of shit."

"This is bullshit."

"I-" Amity almost talked but Luz said something that triggered her.

"Lord knows if I'll destroy this realm after all... including you."

"What's that meant to mean!?"

"Figure it out yourself. Aren't you smart?"

Luz used magic and shut the door in Amity face.

Amity fell down and look at the sky, thinking of what would have possibly done wrong. What did she do? Why did she do it?

Will Luz even forgive her at all?

Will Luz lose feelings?

Will she overreact and destroy the realm after all?

Amity didn't know, not even Luz. No one knew apart from just one.
