Chapter 27.

Luz walked back to class and sat down. She started to tap her shoes on the floor and held her hands together. She wanted to leave this school and it needed to be quick.

She sighed.

She started to think about Amity. She was the only person she ever wanted in her life but all things must eventually come to an end. Was Luz just overreacting?

"No... It's weird of me to think about someone like her."

Luz's thoughts immediately disappeared by the loud sound of the bell and Zander tapped her.

"I think I should have some information on Belos."

They started to walk and left the class. Luz looked back and saw Amity who was looking down and sulking.

She wanted to talk, but no. She stretched out her hand but immediately kept it back to herself.

"Luz!"

A familiar voice she heard screamed her name.

She looked back and two people hugged her.

"Willow? Gus? What are you doing here?"

"What? We can't hug a friend?" Willow asked and Gus shook his head.

"More like a betrayer."

Immediately they both saw Zander, they started to shift back. They feared him greatly for the terrible things he had done to the Blight.

"Don't worry, he won't hurt you... Right?"

Luz looked back and glared at him. He gulped in fear and nodded.

"I'm sorry for just leaving you guys. I've been busy with a lot of things and I've been having a lot of problems on my plate. Surely you can forgive me? You don't know how badly I feel for just tossing you away."

Willow and Gus nodded and started to walk beside her.

"So? What are you doing right now?"

Zander looked at Luz immediately and Luz looked at them.

"Zander and I were just going to the library to search for more on this guy named Emperor Belos? Seems like a fun person to chat with after all the good deeds he's done."

Willow and Gus looked at each other and folded their arms at Luz.

"You could've just asked us! We're your friends!"

"At least I didn't need to make a deal with them."

"So to basically summarize everything you said just now-"

"Emperor Belos has ruled Bonnesborough for many many years and there'a a coven just under him but there are people who think that he's currently joining hands with the nefarious murderer?"

Willow, Gus and Zander nodded.

"Well isn't that interesting."

"Thank you, I need nothing else from you guys again."

Zander released a huge sigh and Luz looked at him.

"Why did you sigh? I meant only the both of them. You're still going to be of use to me."

He groaned and Luz laughed.

"Aren't you all going to class?"

Willow shook her head.

"It's closing time. Don't you know?"

"Wait, what? Did I mistakenly shift time?"

Luz shook away the thought and walked out of the library. She saw students of Hexside walking about the door and then she was confused.
