Chapter 26

Belle's POV

After everyone left it was just me and Travis. I wonder what Chad had to do that was so important. I think I'm over thinking things, but when someone says they have business to take care of , it usually means something bad. I sighed and walked into the kitchen. I got some water and sat on a stool, when I was drinking my water Travis came in and sat in front of me

"May I help you?" I asked, he just looked at me

"Izzy we have a problem" he said in a serious voice

"Ok, what s it?" said while drinking some more water

"Chad just texted me and told me to tell you he has a child" I choked on my water

"He, What?" was I actually hearing this correctly

"Who's the mother?" I asked

"He wouldn't say" he said, I sat there blankly. This is crazy and he didn't know either I wonder how old he or she is

"Did he tell you anything else" I asked

"Yea, its a girl and she's two" he said

"I have to talk to him" I said getting up

"No, he told me to tell you he'll explain everything in person tomorrow" he said

I shook my head and sighed "Alright" I walked upstairs and to my room

I laid face down on my bed and took these past two day in. I have been on a rollercoaster for a long time and I would like to get off. I heard the door open and close, I didn't have to look up to know who it was. He just laid behind me and wrapped his arms around my waist. I turned around to face him and his icy blue eyes met my green/grey ones. I laid my head on his chest and took in his masculine cologne. I closed my eyes and then fell asleep listening to his heart beat.

I woke to two strong arms wrapped securely around my waist. I looked at a sleeping Travis, his hair in his eyes. I moved a piece away with my finger and got out of bed. I walked into the bathroom and got in the shower, when I got out I forgot my clothes. I was about to walk out of the room when I remembered that Travis was still in my room.

"Travis" I yelled at the door, but got no response.

I peeked out the door and he wasn't in there, so I quickly walked out and got my clothes then walked back into the bathroom and got dressed. I walked out of the bathroom and went downstairs. I got an apple. when I turned around Travis was leaning on the door frame

"Hey where did you go" I asked

"I had to go home and get changed, did you miss me" he said

"As a matter of fact I did"

I walked up to him and wrapped my arms around his neck, he closed the space between us. I stared in his blue eyes and he smiled down at me

"if you two stay in that position you're gonna be late for school" I heard my mom said

We pulled away laughing, we walked outside hand in hand. I was about to walk to my car when Travis tugged me to his. I didn't object I just walked to his car and got into the passenger side and we were off to school. I stared out the window watching the world go by, I felt a hand on mine and I smiled a little. Staring out into the world made me forget about the situation I was having with Chad for a second, but that all came crashing down when the car stopped and I was looking at the front entrance to the school. I sighed and got out of the car, Travis came to my side and took my hand. I guess word travels fast about Travis and I being back together.

I reached my locker and waited for Chad, Travis went to the cafeteria while I waited. When I saw Chad he was looking at the ground, when he looked up and caught my gaze he didn't even smile.

"Hey" he breathed

"Hey, so what's up" I said, he looked down at me and I knew that this is going to be one of these talks where I'm gonna have to sit down for, so I walked to one of the benches just outside the cafeteria. I sat down and Chad sat next to me

"Ok, where do I start" he said, I could tell he was nervous

"Where ever you're comfortable" I said looking at him, he took a deep breath and told me everything, but he left out one thing "So who's the baby's mother?" I asked, he looked every where else except me

"I... can't tell you" he said

"Why?" I was so confused

"Because If I told you, you would probably hate me" he said

"How, is it someone close to me" I asked

"I... gotta go" he said standing up "I'll talk to you later" he walked away with his hands in his pockets and staring at the ground

I stood up and walked into the cafeteria looking for Mel and them, when I did I walked over to them and huffed myself down next to Travis

"So I'm guessing the talk with Chad didn't go so well" Margo said

"I mean he told me everything about his Child, but he wouldn't tell me who the mother was" I said

"Why?" Mel asked

"He said I would hate him, if he said it"

"Why would you hate him, its not me or Mel" Margo said

"I don't know, but if he doesn't want to tell me I'm not going to pressure him into telling me" I give up

The bell for school to start and I walked to class with Travis, Mel and Shawn. I noticed that Shawn was being really quiet. When we got in class and sat in our seats, the teacher started on about random things, so I drowned her out. I couldn't get this problem out of my head and it's going to drive me crazy thinking about it. The bell rung and the day went on.

The final bell rung and Margo had to stay after to help with Prom accommodations, Travis and the boys had practice and Mel wanted to stay after to help Margo, so I was by myself for the afternoon. I decided it would be nice to walk home for once, so I started on my way home. I at least got to think while I walked. When I finally got home, I went straight up to my room and did my homework. My mom called for dinner, I ate and after washed my plate. I went back into my room and decided to listen to some music and fall asleep.
