Chapter 6

After finally dropping off Eli, we got to school. Lizzy went off with her friends and I walked with Mel to my locker, when we got there Shawn was standing there. I looked at Mel but she was just looking at Shawn, I mentally laughed and just shook my head. 

"Hey Shawn what are you doing at my locker" I asked and he just smiled

"I was serious about what I said yesterday, I really wanna be friends" he said 

"I don't know Shawn" I said and he frowned

"Please, just give me a chance" he said 

"Ok, fine, but if you ruin it I get to punch you" I said and he chuckled

"Deal, Hi Mel" he said and she waved girlishly

I laughed and she started blushing. We were all talking and laughing, I haven't laughed that much since middle school when I actually had friends, then I saw Chad and Travis walk in and they were starting to walk our way and Shawn started growling. I grabbed his shoulder and he calmed down.

"Hey Shawn, whats up" Chad said and I glared at him

"Nothing, why" he asked agitated 

"Just wanted to know" Travis said 

"I'm talking with Mel and Belle" Shawn said and I smiled

"Why are you talking to her" Chad said motioning to me, something in me just snapped

"So what if he is talking to me, it's none of your business. Why does everyone judge me just because I wear glasses and have braces, half of the school either has glasses or braces, how am I any different huh" I was so mad I was yelling at them, they didn't answer me

"That's what I thought, maybe if you guys got to know someone instead of bullying them, then they wouldn't be scared of you. You don't think that the things you do hurt people because it does hurt a lot, so do everyone a favor and leave them alone" I finished my yelling rant and the bell rung

I walked to class with Mel and Shawn, I sat down and slouched in my seat. Mel was sitting next to me and Shawn was sitting in front of Mel, he turned around and they were both looking at me

"What" I said 

"Where did all the courage come from" Shawn asked

"I don't know I just snapped" I said and they laughed which made me laugh

Travis walked in and the laughing stopped, he sat in front of me. I looked at Mel and she just shrugged, he turned around and was about to say something.

"If, you're gonna say sorry, it's ok I forgive you for putting me through hell for four years, I really appreciate it" I said the last part sarcastically, he sighed and turned back around.

I was half paying attention to the teachers all day and when lunch rolled around I was talking to Mel and the Cheerleaders, that went well and then it was the end of the day. Mel had cheer practice, so Lizzy walked to Eli's school and they both went home. I stayed and watched for awhile

Travis's POV

What Isabelle said this morning really hurt, but Chad just laughed it off after. Sometimes I think his an Idiot, all day Isabelle was on my mind I was gonna say sorry, but she wasn't gonna listen. I trudged to Football practice and the cheerleaders were practicing too. I looked and Isabelle was sitting watching them, then they pulled her into dancing with them and she did.

I smiled at her, maybe I was wrong to treat her like that. Once football was over and the girls were done too, I saw Isabelle walking back into the building. I ran after her and she was walking to her locker, she opened it and looked through it, but she looked frustrated, then slammed it. I walked up behind her and tapped her on the shoulder, she jumped and turned around

"What do you want you scared me" she said upset

"What were you looking for" I asked

She sneered "Why do you care aren't you afraid you're gonna be caught with me again, I don't want more people thinking I'm stalking you" she said and I sighed

"Look I'm sorry for that, I didn't mean it. I guess I just didn't want my reputation to tank" I said

"So what, you care about your stupid reputation more than hurting me when I was standing right behind you, man to think I liked you" she said and that hurt

"I knew you liked me, by the way you always looked at me and by that le- never mind" I said, she looked at me suspiciously

"What are you talking about" she asked

"Nothing I gotta go, I'll see you later" I said and walked fast to the locker room

I got changed and walked to my car and got in, I hopped in and drove home. When I got there my parents still weren't home and tomorrow's Friday. Jackson was laying out on the couch watching t.v, I just went up to my room, got in the shower and then jumped into bed with my boxers. I grabbed Isabelle's book from my bedside table and looked through it. It had lyrics, drawings and letters, I should give this back. I just don't know. I put it back and turned off my light, I drifted off to sleep
