Chapter 5

Shawn's POV

After Chad and Travis decided to be retarded assholes, I ran to catch up to Isabelle, but she was already gone. I walked to her house, when I got there and knocked on the door a little girl that looked four answered it. I smiled but she glared and ran away, I stood there confused until I saw Melanie come into view

"Shawn what are you doing here" she asked 

"Is Belle in there" I asked and she sighed and moved out the way

I walked in and Belle was laying face down on the couch, I sat on the couch by her head and put my hand on her head. She looked up and when she saw me she sat up. She looked like she was crying, I felt bad for her

"Belle I'm sorry that was wrong of them to-" she cut me off

"Don't apologize for them, just don't. Why weren't you laughing is my question" she said 

"It wasn't funny, it was wrong and I wouldn't want them doing that to me" I said 

"But they wouldn't do that to you because you're popular" she said 

"If I wasn't on the football team, I'd be labeled the same as you. I do get good grades and do all my work" I said and she scoffed 

"Just because you do all your work, doesn't mean people we make fun of you for wearing glasses or having braces. You don't have to make me feel better I'm use to it" she said and I gave her a hug

"You shouldn't be used to people saying mean things to you" I said, she didn't respond to my hug for a minute, but then hugged back. I heard sniffling and I chuckled, I released and she wiped her eyes 

"Thanks, I needed it" she said 

"You're welcome and from now on I'm gonna be your friend" I said and she smiled "See I got you to smile" she giggled

"You don't have to be my friend" she said and I chuckled

"I know I don't have to, but I want to" she smiled and gave me another hug "Well I better get going, I will see you tomorrow" I said standing up

"Bye" she said and I walked to the door, Mel was walking down the stairs. I waved bye and I think she was blushing I couldn't tell, but she did wave back. I closed the door behind me and walked home

Belle's POV

When Shawn left I was sitting on the couch, then Mel came and sat next to me. She smiled and I smiled back

"Eli and Liz are both asleep and I called my dad and he said I could stay over, even though I don't have any clothes"  she said and I giggled

"I have clothes, you don't have to worry about that" I said and she nodded

"So I didn't want to spoil the moment, but I heard what Shawn was talking about and I think it's great" she said and I shook my head

"Thanks for ease dropping Mel" I laughed

"No problem, that's what I'm here for" she said

I laughed and got up "I need to take a shower, then I am going to bed" I said and Mel stood up also

"Then that makes two of us" she said

"Well the guest room is down the hall and it has a bathroom in it" I said and she nodded

I walked upstairs and to my room, I hopped in the shower. I got out and put on my pajamas, I climbed into bad and looked for my book, but I couldn't find it. I thought of the last time I had it, but I couldn't remember. I probably left it in my locker, hopefully. I got back in bed and fell asleep...............................

I woke up to the smell of breakfast, I rolled out of bed and walked downstairs. I walked into the kitchen and Lizzy and Eli were sitting at the table eating while Mel was cooking

"Morning Belle, I made french toast and sausage, if you want some" she said 

"Yea sure, let me go get washed up and changed" I said and she nodded

I walked back to my room into the bathroom, then got washed up and put my clothes on then walked back downstairs and sat and ate. We all finished then got into the car, I hope today goes smoothly...
