Chapter 24

My eyes were closed, but instead of feeling the hard ground I passed out on it was soft and comfortable. I blinked a couple times and opened them, I quickly closed them again because of the lights. Once I adjusted them completely I looked and I was in my bed. I stretched and my arms hurt, I got out of the bed and walked downstairs. I reached the bottom of the stairs and Chad was laying on the couch. I walked over to him and he had his eyes closed. I knelt down by him and moved his hair out of his eyes, he was a little cold. I put my head on his chest and sighed relief that he was still breathing. I closed my eyes and listened to his heart beat. I felt a hand on my head and I looked up to see Chad smiling down at me. I jumped and gave him a huge hug

"Oh my god I thought I lost you for a second" I said still hugging him, he sat up and I sat next to him

"You can't get rid of me that easily" he said, I socked him in the arm

"You don't have to be sarcastic about it" I said laughing

"I know, but on a serious note. I wouldn't leave you here , you're like a short little sister to me" he chuckled 

"Hey I'm not that short" I pouted

"If I can see the top of your head when you hug me you're short" he said, I pouted and crossed my arms

"Maybe you're just freakishly tall" he laughed 

"Ok, I feel you" I laughed really hard 

"Where is everyone else?" I asked after my laughter subsided 

"They were downstairs in the game room before I fell asleep" he said

I stood up and held out my hand "Come on bro, I think its time we squashed some tension" he looked at me then my hand and took it. I walked downstairs and he walked behind me. We reached the game room, the boys were playing the playstation and the girls were playing pool. I walked in and the girls looked up from the table

"Belle you're awake. We were all worried" Mel said

"I'm fine, really thank you for worrying though" I said

"Well how could we not worry, you were dangling from the edge of a cliff" Margo said

"I know, thank you Shawn for pulling us up" I said

"I was only doing it for you" he said, I looked at Chad and he was looking at his shoes. I took my hand in his and he looked down at me, I gave him a small smile and he returned it

"Alright guys, we need to talk" I said, they all looked at me and then at mine and Chads hand

I walked to the front of the television screen and turned it off "What do we have to talk about, it clear that you two are a thing" Allan said, I looked at him and laughed 

"Why are you laughing" Travis said, I looked at him after I stopped laughing

"We're not dating you weirdo, I was going to say we need to make peace with Chad" I said, they all looked at me like I was crazy except Travis and Chad 

"Are you crazy" Margo said

"No, just hear me out and if you still think I'm crazy like I said in the yogurt shop you don't have to be my friend" I said, they all nodded for me to continue. I took a deep breath and looked at Chad he nodded for me to tell them. I opened my mouth to speak....

"Wait Isabelle" I looked at Travis

"What?" I said

"You don't have to explain anything to us" he said

"Yes I do, it's not right for you guys to hate on him, he....." I started to say, but got cut off

"Belle, we know already. Chad had already explained everything to us, from his mother to now" Shawn said

"You did" I said looking at Chad, he nodded

"Yea, I knew you were gonna wanna settle everything between us, so I took it upon myself to try" he said, I smiled at him

"Well what happened then" I asked everyone else

"We will try and be friends with him" Shawn said

"Well that's all I could ask is you try" I said

"Well then, the girls and I are going to go do some shopping" Margo said said

"Wait and what are we supposed to do" Allan asked, I laughed at their confused faces

"I don't know what boys do. Bond, go swimming, play basketball, have a burping contest. I don't know just don't destroy the house" Margo replied 

"All four of us" Travis asked

"You all are boys, right?" I asked 

"Yes" they all said then

"Alright then that answers your question" I smirked

The girls and I laughed as we walked up the stairs. I got my shoes on and we walked to my car. I drove to the mall and we looked around for prom dresses and shoes. We've been in here for two hours and the only person that has found something was Mel, Margo and I on the other hand are stuck. I sighed and we walked into another dress shop. I was tired of trying on dresses, so i just sat down on a cushion and watched Margo try on some. They were all either ugly or too big. She was about to give when I glanced at a very pretty dress, I looked back at her looking in the mirror with her face turned up. I got up and grabbed the dress

"Here, try this one on" I said handing it to her, she smiled and walked back into the dressing room

When she came back out she looked amazing, I grinned at her and she twirled in the dress

"How does it look?" she asked, I nodded and Mel couldn't stop staring 

It's amazing" Mel finally said 

"Yayy, I've found my dress. Thank you Belle, now we have to help you find one" Margo said

I shook my head "You guys don't have to do that" they looked at each other then back at me

"Oh yes we do and it's going to be so amazing everyone will turn heads" Mel said, I just giggled

"Fine, come on we'll go to the prom shop" I said, Margo paid for her dress and we walked out of the store. We walked out of the mall and drove to the prom store where you can find or have them make your prom dress, you're probably asking why didn't we come here first. Well I honestly don't like this store, its a last resort on my list of stores to go to.

We walked inside and I sat down on a cushion as the girls walked around looking at dresses, they laid dresses on my lap and when they were finished I got up and tried them on. One by one they were tried on and mostly all of them were ugly. I was just about to give up when Mel gave me one more. I sighed and tried it on, I looked at it in the mirror and it was pretty. Actually it was really pretty. I walked out of the dressing room and the girls eyes bugged out

"That one, definitely that one" Margo said

"Do you really think so" I said tilting my head to the side 

"Oh my god yes, that dress will get so much attention and Travis won't be able to keep his hands off of you" Mel said, I smiled at that and thought

"Ok then I guess I'm getting this one" I said, the girls squealed

I got out of the dress and paid for it, I drove back to my house and when we got inside, the girls and I were laughing until we walked into the living room I gasped I couldn't believe what I was seeing.........
