Chapter 9

I woke up to someone jumping on my bed, I was hoping it was Eli, but when I opened my eyes it was Melanie. I groaned and sat up, she plopped down on the bed. I rubbed my eyes 

"Why are you jumping on my bed?" I asked

"I'm so excited to go to the amusement park" she said

"Are you high" I asked seriously

"No silly, I just can't wait to see Shawn" she said

"So are you two going out or what" I asked and she blushed, I squealed "Oh my god that's great"

"Thanks, now get up the boys will be here in a hour" I rolled my eyes and got out of bed

I walked into the bathroom, I got in the shower, once I got out I blow dried my hair and let it stay naturally wavy. I went to find some clothes, when I found some I put them on and walked downstairs and Mel was sitting on the couch. I walked over to her and sat down

"Don't you look cute" Mel said

"Thanks, where is everyone" I asked

"Your mom said they were going to the movies" I sighed and she gave me a side hug

"Don't worry we're gonna have fun"

I smiled and we watched t.v until the door bell rung. I got up and answered it, the boys walked in and I walked back in the living room, she stood up

"Yayy now that they're here we can leave" she said skipping to the door

"I've never seen anyone that excited to go somewhere" Travis said, Shawn and I just shrugged

We followed Mel and got in Shawn's car, he drove to the amusement park and when we got there we paid and walked in. I don't really like roller coasters, but I'll try to have fun

"Ok guys we're gonna split up" Mel said and drug off with Shawn

"Melanie" I yelled after her

"Have fun" she yelled back, I stood there and pouted

"Well, I guess we're spending the day together" he said

I shrugged "I guess so" We walked around and he wanted to get on a roller coaster, I shook my head

"I'm afraid of roller coasters" I said he chuckled

"I'll be with you the whole time" he smiled and I smiled back

We walked to a roller coaster and I bit my lip, he held my hand and I blushed. We finally made our way to the front and got on, we sat in the middle and it started I closed my eyes and we were going up once we got to the top I squeezed Travis's hand and then we suddenly went down and I screamed, once it was over and we got off I was shaking

"Are you ok" he asked

"Yea just a little shaken up" I said shivering

He chuckled and I hit him in the arm playfully "It's not funny"

He gave me a hug "I'm sorry" I melted like butter on toast to him

I let go and he looked down at me, curse my shortness. I looked away from him and started walking, he caught up to me and I just didn't look at him

"You hungry" he asked

"Yea" I said and we walked to a food stand

"How may I help you" the lady asked

"Can I get a hot dog, nachos, two sprites and a cotton candy" he ordered

I was surprised he didn't ask me what I wanted, but ordered all my favorite things. He got the food and we walked over to a table, he started eating and I sat there looking at him

"Why are you staring at me" he said with mustard on his cheek

"One you have mustard on your cheek" I said cleaning it off "And two how did you know I like nachos, sprite and cotton candy" he shrugged

"Lucky guess" I shrugged and started eating, when we finished I was eating my cotton candy while walking and I suddenly stopped, I was staring at this pretty stuff animal

"You want it" he asked, I just shook my head "Ok, hey sir how do you play the game" 

"If you hit all three pins you get the big stuff animal, if you hit one you get a small one and if you hit two you get a medium one" he said

"Sounds easy enough, how much" I looked at him and smiled

"Three bucks" Travis gave him three bucks and got three tries, the first try he hit them but didn't knock them down the second one he threw it and hit the top and it got knocked over

"Last try" he looked at me and I smiled at him

He looked at the pins and threw the ball and it knocked over the last two pins

"Congrats which one" I pointed to the cute round giraffe, which he grabbed with a hook and handed to me

We walked away from the stand "Thank you for the stuffed animal"

We rode two more roller coaster and after both times I got off shaking, I am never gonna get used to that. It was getting dark and Travis and I walked to the candy shop and got some candy, I got a candy apple and he got a Popsicle. We were sitting down on a bench eating our sweets when I heard him chuckle

"Why are you laughing" I asked

"You have caramel on your face" he scooted over and wiped it off, I looked up at him and he was staring at me. I blushed and looked away, he lifted my chin

"Don't be shy" he leaned in and I closed my eyes, I could feel his breathing on me, then before I said anything I felt lips on mine. he put his arms around my waist and I really couldn't move because of the apple still in my hand, but I did kiss back. He released and I opened my eyes

"Wow" we both said

We sat there staring at each other then Mel came running over to us "Whats up guys" we tore our gaze away from each other and looked at her

"Nothing, you ready to go" I said standing up a little too quickly

"Yea? are you two ok?" she asked and we both nodded

I started walking to the entrance and to the car, they caught up and I got in the backseat. Mel sat in the front with Shawn and Travis sat in the back with me, while we were driving I felt something on my hand I looked down and it was Travis's hand I looked up at him, but he was looking out the window. I let it stay there and smiled to myself as I looked out my window. We got to my house and I got out I said bye to them and Mel decided to go home today.

I walked inside with my animal and stuff, my parents were laughing with Lizzy and Eli. They looked at me and went back to what they were doing with them. I sighed and walked upstairs to my room, I took off my clothes and put on my pajamas and climbed into bed. I snuggled with my giraffe and fell asleep.
