Chapter 30

Belle's POV

My head was pounding so bad, it was like a jackhammer was drilling my head. I heard the faint sound of a heart monitor and blinked my eyes until they adjusted to the light. When they were fully open I looked around to find myself in the hospital. How did I end up in the hospital? I tried to think back to what happened but my head hurt too much. The door to my room opened and closed. I looked to see Travis walking in with a bouquet of flowers. I smiled at him, he smiled back then put the flowers on the side table

"How are you feeling love?" he asked

"I'll be ok, my head hurts like crazy though" I answered

"Well the doctor did say you hit your head pretty hard on impact" he replied

I looked at him confused "Impact? Impact of what? Chad and I didn't fall off that cliff did we?" I asked frantically

Travis shook his head "No, you don't remember what happened?" he asked

I shook my head at him "No, I honestly don't even know what day it is today" I said

"It's the second of June" he answered

"Wait so, we already graduated?" I said

"Yes, Izzy you were in a car accident with your family on your way to the graduation dinner" he said

I sat up slowly not believing what he was saying. That means that Eli and Liz were in there as well. Are they ok? Are they alive? MY parents. I think I'm going into shock because I can't breath and all I see is the ceiling. I felt my eyes closed and the heart monitor going crazy. I could hear voices, but they sounded so distant like I was falling away from them. I suddenly felt calm and then I blinked and opened my eyes again

"Are you calm now?" Travis asked

I nodded and sighed "Is everyone alright?" I honestly don't wanna hear that my family is dead and I'm still here or I wouldn't be able to live with myself

"For now all I know is everyone's ok" he said

I need to get out of this bed. I need to check on my sisters. I tried getting out of the bed, but Travis held me back

"I have to check on my sisters and see if my parents are ok" I said with tears forming in my eyes

Travis looked at me sympathetically "The doctor said you shouldn't be moving around much, you hit your head pretty hard"

"Then you take me to see them" I said

"How am I supposed to do that?" he asked

I looked at him like he was retarded and then a light bulb went off in his head. I shook my head at him and he went off to get a wheelchair. When he came back with one he helped me in the chair and started to wheel me out of the room, but as soon as we reached the end of the room the door opened and my doctor was on the other side of it

"Isabelle, you shouldn't be out of bed" he said

"I need to see my family" I said

He looked at me then at Travis "Watch her" he told him

He nodded and started wheeling me out of the room. He led me to a room next to mine and opened the door. He wheeled me in and my sisters were laying in two beds. Liz had a broken arm and a couple of bruises on her face. I'm glad Eli was in a car seat or she would be extremely hurt, but she seems to be ok. I just hope she's just not emotionally scared from this. Travis wheeled me over to Eli's bed and I put my hand on her forehead. She started to move and then she opened her eyes and looked at me

"Belly" she said then wrapped her arms around my neck

I hugged her back as tightly as I could without hurting myself. I heard her sniffle and patted her on the back
