Chapter 20

Isabelle's POV

When I woke up the next day, I rolled out of bed and trudged to the bathroom. I haven't been so tired before I basically did everything with my eyes half way open, I don't even know what I put on. I grabbed my bag and slowly walked downstairs, when I got to the kitchen I sat down and yawned

"Well good morning to you sweetie" my mom said

"Morning mom" I said

"You look tired" she said

"Yea I am, I guess I just have some things on my mind" she nodded

"Got it, do you want me to drive you and the girls" she asked

"No it's ok, I can stay awake" I said

I grabbed an apple and stood up and when I did I finally looked at what I was wearing, it was my favorite geek crop top with some cut up shorts and my black high top converse. I even forgot to put my contacts in. I got Eli to school and continued to mine, once we got there Liz waved bye and I walked off to my locker. While walking guys whistled at me I was too tired to care I finally reached my locker and opened it, then I felt a pair of arms around my waist

"If it's Chad go away, but if it's Travis don't let go" I said

He laughed "I guess someone didn't get any sleep"

"I was tossing and turning all night" I said turning around

"Well I got to say you look pretty cute today in your glasses"

"I forgot to put my contacts in" I said

"Well lets get something to eat inside you because this is going to be a long day"

"Alright"

We walked to the cafeteria and I got a bagel, then we walked around to find everyone else. They were standing outside

"Morning guys" Travis said, I just waved

"Morning, so Belle have you thought of my proposal" Mel said

"Yea it kept me up all night, but I have come to a decision and I..." I stopped to yawn "Will do it" I said

"I mean I understand... wait you said yea I don't want to pressure you into anything" she said

"I know, I'm doing it because he ruined my sisters relationship so I have many reasons for wanting to do this" I said

"I still think this is a bad idea" Shawn said

"She'll be fine" she said

I looked at everyone else and they just shrugged. I sighed and they continued their own conversations, when the bell rung for first period we all walked to class, while my first three periods I could not concentrate I mean I understood what we were doing but I was just in my head for most of it. Once the bell rung for lunch I quickly got up and collected my things, I walked to my locker and when I turned the corner Chad was leaning against it with his arms crossed and all I could hear in my head was Mel saying he needs payback. I shook it out of my head and continued to my locker, I took a deep breath and smiled

"Hi Chad" I said

He looked taken back for a second "Uhh hey, I thought you were going to tell me to move out the way" he said confused

"Do you mind moving out the way please" I said, he unfolded his arms and moved

I opened my locker and started putting my stuff away "Why aren't you yelling at me to get lost" he asked

"I guess I've had a change of heart" I said still facing my locker

"I don't get it" he said

I turned around and closed my locker, I rested my hand on his arm "I know you Chad, you're not mean I like you" I said but gagged in the back of my throat

"I thought you were dating Travis" he asked

"I am, but that doesn't mean anything" I said batting my eyelashes

"I don't know Isabelle, you're suppose to hate me" he said

I shrugged "Things change, I gotta go see you later" I winked at him and started walking to the cafeteria

When I was out of sigh of Chad, I peek to see if he was still standing there and he was. I laughed a little then he started walking towards the cafeteria too, I quickly ran inside to find the others and they were sitting at our usual table. I sped walked over there and sat down

"Why do you look flushed" Margo asked

"I had a encounter with Chad" I said

"So did you start to put the plan in motion" Mel asked, I sighed and nodded

"Yea, now he's as confused as a new born puppy" I said, she started laughing

"Great so it's working" she said

"It's not going to work if he knows me and Travis are dating" I said

"Mhmm, then you two just have to break up" Mel said

"They just can't break up out of the blue like that, they have to have a reason" Allan said

"That's true, so you two are just gonna have to have a fight" Mel said

"This is ridiculous, they don't want to fight or break up Mel you should just forget about it" Shawn said

"I know how you two can break up" she said ignoring Shawn

"How?" Travis asked

"Just replay the time you thought Belle was flirting with Chad" she said

"Why? I was really hurt by that" I said

"Exactly, you go running out of here and I guarantee Chad will follow you" she said

"But he did that in front of all the football players and cheerleaders" Margo said

"Then he can do it right here in front of the cafeteria" she said

"You know what, I will not sit here and watch this you have lost it Melanie" Shawn said slamming his food on the table, he got up and stormed out

"Ready guys" we all looked at her like she was crazy

"Mel, your boyfriend just left and you don't care" Allan said, she looked at him and just shrugged

"Well come on guys are you gonna do it"

I sighed and looked at Travis "I'll do it if you want me too" he said

"It's ok, you can do it" I said

I stood up and walked over to the cheerleaders and started talking to them, then it happened....
