Nerd Girl

Chapter 1

Belle's POV

I woke up to Lizzy yelling at Eli for some reason, so I go out of bed and walked downstairs to see them running around the kitchen table, this is usually how I wake up every morning. I rubbed my face and sighed 

"OK What is going on this time" I yelled and they stopped

"Eli took my bracelet and won't give it back" Lizzy said

"Lizzy you are fourteen years old chasing a four year old, calm down" I said and she pouted "Eli please give me that now" I said sternly and she did. I handed it to Lizzy "Now, go get ready for school and help Eli while I get in the shower" she nodded and left with Eli

I walked back up to my room and grabbed my clothes and went into the bathroom, I jumped into the shower and when I was done and dried off I got dressed. I walked downstairs and the girls were eating, they finished and we left. I dropped Eli off at preschool and Lizzy and I went to school.

Once we got there and I parked Lizzy jumped out and ran off to her friends. I sighed and walked to my locker, I was putting my books in there when Travis and his friends walked past me. I watched as they walked down the hall and around the corner

"I wouldn't even try" someone said behind me, I turned around to a cheerleader

"I know only in my dreams" I said sighing

"It's Ok, I'm not a mean cheerleader" she said and I looked at her sideways "I'm Melanie" she said

"Isabelle or Belle, why are you talking to me. I'm a loser" I said and she slightly laughed

"Just because I'm a cheerleader doesn't mean I'm like them. I may hang out with snobby girls and pig headed boys, but I'm practically the opposite" she said and I smiled

"But everyone calls me a nerd" I say and she huffs

"They just don't know the real you" she said

"I wear glasses, I don't think any one wants to know the real me" I said and she frowned

"Well I do, I'm kinda new here so" she said and I slightly smiled

"Do you have your schedule" she got it out of her bag and handed it to me, I looked it over and smiled

"We have all classes together" I said and she squealed, I covered my ears till she stopped

"Sorry I can get excited at times" we both laughed and the bell rung

We walked to first period and I walked to the back of the class, Melanie gave the teacher her sign in paper and sat next to me. Travis walked in laughing with his buddy Shawn, they both sat in front of me and Melanie. I sighed and for some reason ended up staring in the back of his head

"Belle, earth to Belle" someone said and I shook out of my trance

"Huh, yes" I said and the teacher shook her head

"I would like to speak with you after class" and everyone gasped, I usually never get in trouble "Oh don't look so frighten dear it's not bad" she said and I took a breath

I looked at Melanie and she just giggled which made me giggle also, the class ended and I had to stay after. I walked to the teachers desk and waited, then I looked to my right and Travis was standing right next to me, but I guess he wasn't paying attention to me just the teacher

"I called you two to stay because Travis you're failing my class and need a tutor" she said and Travis rolled his eyes

"Why can't I just make it up during summer school" he asked and she shook her head

"No, if you don't pass my class then you don't play on the team and you don't graduate" she said and his pretty blue eyes went wide

"But..." she cut him off with her hand

"No buts, Belle will be your tutor for the rest of the year" she said and he scrunched his nose

"Fine" he said huffing

"Belle, you and Travis will meet at the library every day" she said and I nodded.

She wrote us notes to go to class and we walked out of the room. I stopped at my locker and put my book in it, then started walking to my next class. I passed by Travis's locker and he was getting his books. I looked closer and saw a whole bunch of photo's in it of nature and random things. he closed his locker and turned and saw me, he walked up to me and my breathing hitched

"Listen, I don't want to do this and I'm pretty sure you have a geek boyfriend that you need to get to so we're gonna meet at my house instead of the library. Got it" he said

"Yea, but I don't have a boyfriend" I said shrugging

"Oh, well I can see why not" he mumbled

"I'm not deaf, so what is that supposed to mean" I said and he looked at me

"You're wearing a sweater and it's hot outside" he said, I just walked around him and went to class

It was finally lunch time, but half the time I don't eat. I walked into the crowded cafeteria and got an apple. I started to walk outside when I heard someone call my name, I turned to Melanie waving at me. I shook my head and she walked over to me

"Come on come sit with me" she said

"I can't you're hanging with the cheerleaders" I said, then one of them walked over to me and spilled their drink on my sweater

"Margo, why did you do that, just leave her alone" Melanie said and she walked away laughing, the whole cafeteria was laughing. I ran out the room and into the nearest bathroom, I looked at my sweater and it had chocolate milk all over it. I sighed and took it off, it's a good thing I had a tank under.

I walked out and to my locker to put my sweater in it, then I closed it and two jocks walked by and stared at me. I walked outside and under my favorite tree and read, then I ended up falling asleep
