The police got there and started questioning us me and Milano.
They had to take Valoure away from me while we were being questioned to make sure he wasn't in danger.
After questioning , Kalone came.
He got out the car and ran to me and Milano.
He hugged us and squeezed us.
They put Jerell's body on a stretcher and put a sheet over him.
I gave Valoure to Kalone for a few seconds.
I sat on the stairs of my building entrance and just thought to myself.
How could this night change so quick??
I heard a voice call my name.
"Carson!" The voice said.
I looked up and seen Vade.
My mouth dropped.
I got up and ran to him
I jumped in his arms and wrapped my legs around him.
He picked me up and held me tight.
I cried in his shoulder as he held me.
"It's alright , I gotchu .. can't nothing hurt you no more babyboy." He said.
"I was so scared .. I had to put Valoure in the closet to keep him safe , Milano had to use your gun Vade I was so-"
"Carson calm down .. i'm here now. I gotchu." He said , reassuring me.
3 hours later ..
We were at Vade's apartment.
I sent Milano with Kalone because my apartment can't be used until they finish their investigation.
And plus , nobody wanted to be in there after everything that happened tonight.
I was laying in Vade's bed while he was asleep.
It's nice to have him home but I wish he was here before my bestfriend had to kill someone for me.
It should have been me.
I should've shot Jerell.
I should be the one with a slash on my back.
Not Vade.
I should've been the one that gotten beat unconscious and unrecognizable.
Not Milano.
Everything I do gets traced back to people I care about.
Vade had his shirt off and I could see his scar.
It was still tender and red.

I feel horrible.

The tears in my eyes started falling when Valoure started crying from the other room.
I took Vade's arm from around me and got up.
I went to the room and picked him up.
I brought him back to the room and turned on mickey mouse for him.
Vade started to wake up but I put hand on the back of his head and laid his head back down to keep him asleep.
Him and Valoure do the same things little does he know.
When Valoure starts waking up , all I gotta do his lay his head back down just like Vade.
I got a text from Milano.
Milano: I had sex with Kalone.
Me: Wait what?! How did that even happen??
Milano: I was trembling because I was scared of a dream I had and he started holding me and touching me and kissing me and shit just happened.
Me: Omg Milano do you know how much shit that's gonna start between the group? Cause you know Kalone can't get over good sex.
Milano: I didn't think it would happen.

Milano: In his arms .. he sleep.

I put my phone down and went to sleep.
I woke up up with Vade in my face begging me to get up.
"Baee get up so we could go get food!" Vade said.

I went in the bathroom and grabbed a extra toothbrush from his cabinet.
I started brushing my teeth.
I went back in the room and threw on a pair of his sweatpants and one of his hoodies.
I put my crocs on.
I went to the bathroom and put my hair in a bun.
I grabbed my purse and went back in the room.
"Hurry up since you wanna rush me out my good ass sleep." I said.
"So you gotta attitude now?" He asked.
"Yes! Now hurry up." I snapped , grabbing Valoure and putting him in his stroller.
Vade put his sneakers on and grabbed his keys.
He walked out the door and went to the garage.
We got in his car and drove to a restaurant.
I took Valoure out the car and we walked in the restaurant.
I sat down at a table while I watched Vade talk to the lady at the front.
Looked like he was flirting with her.

I put Valoure in the high chair and started looking at the menu.
Vade came to the table and sat down.
He started looking at the food options and his face lit up.
"Ouuu bae can we get chicken and waffles?" He asked.
"Of course baby , who paying? Me or you?" I asked.
"When do I ever have you pay for food when we go out? Of course i'm paying." He said.
"And where you getting all this money from?" I asked.
