He slammed the door on his way out and scared Valoure.
I went to his crib and picked him up.
I bounced him until he stopped.
Milano and Kalone walked in.
Again .. gotta remember they got keys to my house.

"Well .. we just seen ole boy in the hallway. He look mad as fuck. What happen?" Kalone asked.
"He had bitches all up in his face and was embarrassed of being seen with me when i'm dressed masculine." I said.
"Carson .. how many times do we have to tell you , he is using you as an experience! He doesn't wanna be long term with you , he doesn't see himself marrying you , he doesn't see y'all growing together as humans , he's not for you!" Milano said.
"I know , I know, I swear I know it's just like .. why me? Why did he have to run into me outta all the boys in this world , he had to run into me. Now look at me .. stuck with somebody else's baby." I said.
"Speaking of him , how is lil man doing?" Kalone asked , sitting down on my couch.
"He's fine .. his mother hasn't called or checked on him at all and it just makes me feel like someone dumped a responsibility on me." I said.
"Well .. maybe now you know how Vade feel." Kalone suggested.
"But he made this baby , not me. And even if he did feel like a responsibility was dumped on him , It is his fault. Bitches gotta learn to stop letting these niggas nut in them." I said.
"Bitches be so in love with the wrong niggas .." Milano said.
"Sound like I am too .." I mumbled.

3:27 pm .. 3 days later , september 12.

Vade texted me earlier that day and said he wanted to see his son.
There was a knock on the door.
I got up and opened it.
I swung the door open and walked away.
He walked in and picked up Valoure.
I stared Vade up and down till my eyes spotted a hickey on his neck.
I scoffed and chuckled.

"What's funny?" He asked.
"Nothing , spend your time with your son and leave." I said.
"Fuck is your issue bro like every time I come over here , we gotta argue like what the fuck is up with you?!" He asked.
"Nigga you! Your what's wrong with me! I don't know if it's the dick you giving me , or whatever but yo ass is making me crazy and I ain't never get outta character for no nigga!" I said.
"Then why the fuck you acting like that?!" He asked.
"Who the fuck gave you a hickey Various??" I pressed.
"What hickey?!" He said , acting dumb.
"Aight Vade. Get out." I said , turning to walk to my room.

He snatched me up by my waist and picked me up.
He wrapped my legs around him.
He grabbed my face to make me look at him.

"It won't happen ever again .." He said.
"What won't happen again .." I asked , shaky.
"I fucked around a lil bit but I won't do it again , I promise." He said.
"You promise?" I asked.
"I promise." He said.

Then I got a text from a unknown number.

Unknown: Wassup , it's Rob.

I looked at it and my heart dropped.
My face changed.
My energy changed from upset at Vade to being curious about why Rob was texting me.
I jumped out of Vade's arms and stared at the phone.

"What happen?" He asked.
"Um , nothing. It's just my friend Milano. He asked me to call him cause it's a emergency but um .. play with your son really quick." I said , walking to the bathroom.

I closed the door and sat on the counter.
I texted him back.

Me: Hey Rob .. what's up?

Rob: Just been thinking about you lately and I was just wondering how you were doing.

Me: I'm good , what about you?

Rob: I'm cool , I got that construction job I told you about.

Me: That's good.

Rob: Listen .. I'm sorry for everything i've ever put you thru kid. You know you mean the world to me CC.

Me: Rob you had your chance with me and instead of being loyal and faithful , you beat on me and cheated on me.

Rob: I understand allat bug you know I love you and you love me.

Me: I do love you but me and you will never work out.

Rob: Just give me a chance to make up.

I stared at the text and started tearing up.
It's just something about this man that always seems to make me emotional.
I don't know if it's the love I have for him or the nightmares I used to have when he finally left.
I exited outta the messages and called Kalone.

"Kalone , Rob just text me and I don't know how to handle it." I said.
"Press the block button. Now Carson and i'm not playing. He will not real my bestfriend back into his shit." Kalone said
"Okay." I said , blocking Rob.
"Carson .. do not unblock that man for anything. I don't care if that man said he was dying of aids , do not answer." Kalone said.
"Kalone i'm scared .. what if he comes back up here and tries to hit me again? I can't handle that right now and then Vade is here-"
"Carson stop. That man is not gonna harm you anymore okay? Now do you want me and Milano to come over there?" He asked.
"No no .. i'm okay." I said.

5 hours later .. 8:24 pm ...

Vade left so it was just me and Valoure.
I started dozing off while feeding him.
There was a soft ass knock on the door.
I put Valoure down and opened the door.
It was Rob.

"Wassup Carson." He said.

I froze.
