it's nights like this that keep me up at 2 am
my creative ideas on full blast
and don't know how to stop
a chill goes up my spine
can't tell if it's my window open and it being November
or my own success that frightens me
on nights like this, sleep isn't an option
the adrenaline keeps me up
and thinking
of what i've done wrong
what i've done right
and me repeating to myself
it's ok
the next day awaits
for my triumph and story to tell
all of it is waiting for me
on the other side of fear
my fear
of seeing myself win
but i'll get there
and it'll be greater than ever
