•The Poems I Will Write•

The poems I will write
When I finally get a good,
Salty, sour taste of reality
It will be a national holiday
The day I stop writing about myself
And the way, somebody else
Damned me or hurt me
The poems I will write
Will save the world
Or just another black kid
Suffering from anxiety
The way I did
It's ok, I gotchu
Like the words my pencil
Spits out of its own mouth
We are all in this together
Even tho my heart was just broken
The poems I will write
Will save somebody else
From having to be validated
By a human beings opinions
I am here for u
Or maybe I just know
What you've been through
I will save you
Even tho, my whole world
Has just been ripped out of my
Arms
The poems I will write
Will leave you speechless
Because you're wondering how
I am still alive
To save you
From the hovering heartburn
Of people and their shitty decisions
Or the shame you carry
From your aggravating overthinking
The poems I will write
Will never lose their meaning
Because
You have read them
