Was I curious about that mirror room?

Yes.

Did I want to go back in there?

No, I wasn't ready to yet.

It was too overbearing and I was too scared.

Plus, Leo had locked the library again so I couldn't go back, even if I wanted too. He had warned me not to go looking for the mirrors anymore. I wonder why he was so against them. He said that it held the truth, so wouldn't the sad look in his eyes disappear if I finally figured it out? Perhaps the truth is what made him suffer instead, maybe he didn't want me to ruin everything again. Again again again, everything was starting to spin again.

"Can I go outside today?"

I mumbled, collecting my thoughts to calm down.

I was standing next to Leo as he tried teaching me how to cook, I was a horrible cook and he was trying to save my skills, or... lack thereof. He stares down at me

"Hmm, why?"

He seemed defensive, did he really not trust me that much?

"Do you think you'll be getting out of this cooking class?"

His eyes are narrowed.

I roll my eyes and sigh, I was getting bored of this.... I didn't need to be a master chef. If it was edible, it was edible.

"You know I'm not always here, so you need to make something for yourself when I'm gone."

He repeats for the millionth time.

We were making roasted chicken with mashed potatoes and vegetables. You know, pretty much a basic dinner.

"Or perhaps do I need to teach you how to make a sandwich? Or using the microwave?" He grins.

"Ha-ha very funny." I grumbled sarcastically.

There was a brief silence, and a little chuckle escaped from his lips.

"Hey, where do YOU go anyway when you leave?" I blurted out without thinking, I was kind of surprised I even said it, it really just slipped out of my mouth.

No response.

"Ah , sorry... It's not my business anyway."

I look away.

"No, um." Leo awkwardly shifts over to me, it's almost reluctant.

"It's just things I need to take care of."

"Liar." I gasp, what am I saying?

I can't seem to control what I say and I begin trembling. Stop pushing Anna, why are you pushing so much? His body stiffens and I look up to see his pained expression. Was he crying?

"I-I'm sorry I didn't mean.." my voice trails off.

"-------" He says something that I cannot recognize.

"I'm sorry, what?" I laugh awkwardly.

A sad smile appears on his face "You'll remember soon enough."

Suddenly he grabs my hand.

"Let's go outside, like you wanted okay? I'll be staying today, just for you." Leo winks, it didn't feel natural, he was just trying to change the subject.

Um... okay then...? I guess I'll drop it for now. He practically pushes me out of the kitchen and in less than a second we're outside. I smile, I loved being outside and I was really happy that I didn't have to cook anymore.
