I sat up gasping in bed, what a crazy dream. Was this another memory of mine? I feel weak and dizzy and everything starts to spin around me. Other dimensions, other worldlines, all that stuff was way too confusing for me to think about right now. I look out the window and it seems to be noon, I really slept in for once, huh? The dizziness was getting to be distracting and I was starting to feel a bit strange. I needed to find that wolf, Xiomara. I had a lot of questions for her, and I knew she'd help me find myself.
"Leo?"
I call out cautiously and there is isn't a response. I see, he wasn't home again. Which meant....
I ran towards the outside door, only the find out it was locked. I sigh, I guess Lucifer wasn't as much of an idiot as I had hoped. Grumpy now, I head for the library expecting the same result. To my surprise, it was open.
"Sweet!"
I laugh excitingly and search for the hidden room again.
"Huh?"
I stood dumbfounded. It was gone. It was almost like it never existed to begin with. Frustrated I bang on the walls.
"What is this, a damn witch's house?"
I growl.
Knock Knock I hear tapping somewhere. I head towards it, but don't see anything, only a large window.
Knock knock it repeats. I stare out the window to see Sal hanging off the ledge. I open the window and stare down at him, unamused.
"What are you doing?"
"That bastard won't let us in anymore." Sal complains.
"What? You're dead can't you just appear wherever you want you dummy?"
"He created a barrier preventing spirits from entering the mansion anymore."
The blood stops flowing to my cheeks. He knew that they were visiting me... but how? I began to panic that he was going to prevent me from seeing and remembering my friends permanently....
"Listen Annalina, we don't have much time left together. I'm really sorry how I acted before... I decided that I'll support you finding yourself as well as Lucius..." Sorrow stains his voice, I smile at him.
"Thank you, that's my big brother!" I honestly don't know what to say, whatever the past was I knew it wasn't good.
"I know where your mirror is."
He breathes.
My jaw drops "For real? I was looking all day, where is it?" I lie, I just started looking, and I had already given up. He stays silent and looks down.
"I hid it in your room."
"Hm?" I was actually confused because I didn't see anything of the sort there, I would know since I resided in my room most of the time.
"And he caught me moving it that's why he banished us. I'm sorry it's my fault, I didn't want you to find it." Regret in his voice. I lean over the window to kiss his forehead,
"No worries, he won't be able to separate us so easily anyway."
Sal's eyes sparkle in relief.
"Hey." I suddenly muse "If you see a large wolf would you tell me?"
"I have something to ask her."
****
"Let's have a dinner."
