Lucius had finally accepted himself and became appeased in this life. He finally moved onto a better place. Since he had given himself to me there was no possible way for him to go into Heaven, but since he wasn't evil enough to go into Hell, he would need to move on elsewhere. Of course, this world had created another realm for spirits to go into appeasement. Maybe he'd be reborn, or maybe he'd jump to another worldline until every form and every decision that he made eventually would kill every single version of himself. Then I suppose he'd stop existing in this world for good and finally rest.

Lucius now had no place in the living realm, he was no longer a wandering spirit. A part of me hoped that he would come visit still, Sal would be lonely without him around. He loves me so he should come again, right? I hold my chest sadly, letting the ache consume me. Sparkly shards litter the basement floor, the water glistening beautifully. This was not the end, I promised, and I also promised that I would appease Sal as well. I'd see you all again until I couldn't anymore.

I touch the water with my fingertips and close my eyes. It was beyond late now and my body was exhausted. I should probably return to my room before Leo and Xiomara notice my absence. How many hours was I was down here? I head up the stairs towards the kitchen quietly and I feel a chill run down my spine. Something feels off, it's much too quiet... I make it into the kitchen finally and see that it is a complete mess. Chairs and other pieces of furniture are scattered across the room. Fuck, he knows I'm out of bed. The only thing in tact is the table, which was now wearing fresh human corpses on top of it. I stare sympathetically at them, innocent lives taken from a rage. Their rib cages have been torn open and their organs were messily spilling out from their chests. Upon further inspection it seems that their heart's were missing, along with their tongues.

"How horrid."

I mumble to myself, and close their eyes so they may at least rest in peace. Lucifer is standing by the window, staring blankly at nothing, his eyes were seeing past time itself. I gasp to see how broken his expression was, I had never seen someone so destroyed. He looked like suicide. His usually kept hair was completely messed up, his usual sure eyes were filled with hopelessness, and he could not see anything at all. It was almost as if he had stopped caring about anything at all, like nothing mattered. Lucifer did not look frightening, even with his bloodied hands and the corpses behind him, he looked devastated and absolutely loathful of himself.

"Leo?"

I start to say when I notice blood escaping from the carcasses, and climbing up the walls. They began to form words Where did you go again? Why did you leave me? Please don't leave me, Why? Come back, where are you? They spell out elegantly onto the walls and I feel the agony in his words. Leo continues to stare at nothing. Where was his usual anger? Why was he sulking, had he given up already? Is this how he felt when I left before? I look at him sadly and hug him from behind.

"Leo."

I say again and he stiffens.

"Reficul?"

His voice was torn, he turns around to face me and tears are in his eyes.

"Where have you been? I was so worried."

His voice trails off. He is at this moment fragile.

"I found a mirror, I should've told you I'm sorry."

I stare into his eyes, which still are full of emptiness. He doesn't respond, I don't think he can even hear what I'm saying.

"Did Xiomara come down with you?"

I change the subject.

"She's still asleep in my room."

His voice is cold suddenly. His horns shine violently and his eyes begin to flare.
